"If Paul forces want 'nuclear war' over reducing caucuses, let's have it"

Are they going to try to ban independents from voting in these primaries as well? That would really hurt Rand if that happened.

I think the last election clearly showed they will do whatever it takes to keep the status quo. The only thing that can beat them is overwhelming numbers.

Overwhelming numbers with video cameras and a livestream. And media if possible.

They run the caucuses so poorly here in Nevada in hopes to get us to switch back to the primary system. Seriously, either that or they are just so fucking stupid here.

It's fortunate that they are wanting to do this for 2016, as a lot of RP people are switching to the dem party for 2014. Why? - in order to primary out gun grabbers - and I'm mainly talking about the state level, but also the federal level.

Doing away with caucuses would hurt us, ditto halving the number of debates. If anything, we didn't have enough debates. OTOH, I think regional primaries would probably help us. Romney bought NH, but he wouldn't be able to do as well if he had to advertize in 25% of the country and have the vote come down on the same day.

Perhaps we should start pushing instant runoff voting. it would help to get people to vote for the guy the like the best, but don't think is going to win - and voters are lemmings so vote for the guy they think is going to win. Done right, it could really change election dynamics.

Where we are really screwed is that we failed to keep our organizations together. We are going t be starting, basically from scratch next time and it will take time to build momentum.

I answered Murphy on twitter:

@murphymike you don't want to go to "war" with the "Paul forces". Localization > centralization. Go ahead and disagree with that, Mr. GOP.

AND they will CHEAT...again

AND they will LOOSE...again

their control of the opposition party is complete.

The Political Class makes lotsa money on both the winning and the "losing" side. More than half of Congress are MILLIONAIRES.

Control of the opposition party IS a power position, for those who are in power. (Arguably, opposition/minority gets less BLAME. The life of a Congress Member, particularly that of a Senator, seems rather more pleasant than the life of the President.)

"Two-party stranglehold" pointedly MEANS that both parties have a deadly grip on us.
