If Palin sways your vote, you disgust me

She consistently says "energy independence" and bashes oil companies. She is being investigated for her ethics and abusing governor power. She has a socialistic stance and is for rooting out terrorism and threatens the Russians, etc. Why would any Ron Paul Republican be interested in her at all? I saw most people's response as sarcastic, and I hope they are.

That said it's way better than Obama's pick for VP, the Democratic Dick Cheney.

I see some posters on here saying they are voting for her because she is good looking.

Palins good looking? I thought we were talking about Mccain.

If McCain picked Ron Paul himself, I still wouldn't vote for him (obviously, I'm hoping Paul wouldn't accept).

No matter who is chosen as VP, McCain will still be McCain which as Wayne Allen Root put perfectly, "A vote for McCain is a vote for 4 more years of Bush. That means dramatic expansion of government; more violations of our rights and personal freedoms; and endless wars across the globe."

I was going to vote for McCain but now that MILF is running with him I am not going to.
Is that better? :D

If McCain dies, she becomes president. What the hell kind of experience does she have which qualifies her to be Commander-in-Chief?!

Creationist - WHO GIVES A F". SO WAS RON PAUL.

Neocon - No she is not. Get your facts straight. It is very annoying when you just give everyone you think you hate the label "neocon, fascist, socialist"

Her corruption charge? Give me a break. Compared to everyone else it's nothing. Firing a police officer who TARAZED A ELEVEN YEAR OLD BOY! WOW! Good job supporting corruption "RON PAUL SUPPORTERS".

get your heads out of your asses it pisses me off.

And she is a creationist.

Nice.

So is Ron Paul, but he won't flat out to the public say it. Look up one of his small Ron Paul meet-ups on YouTube when asked about Evolution, he doesn't believe in it.

So is Bob Barr! Yeah, I went there, you two-face hypocritical mofo's. Anyways, did Kludge get the leaked link to Sarah Palin's "milkshake" video?

Sources? I know Barr used to be, but so did I. Do you have a source proving he currently supports the Iraq war? I would hope you guys would support me if I ran for president, as I am a total convert to the movement. I used to be a neo-con, and I am positive lots of people on this forum used to be as well.

About Palin, it doesn't matter. It's John McCain. I will never vote for John McCain. If Ron Paul was his VP choice and Ron accepted, I would not vote for McCain. Of course, Ron would never accept, but you get my point. A vote for McCain is a complete compromise of my beliefs, as is a vote for Obama. A compromise I am not willing to make.

The guy masked his Iraq War talk with "You don't let the enemy know when you're withdrawing ." He still advocates action against Columbia for the underground cocaine business they run. Lets not forget how he spoke about Frannie & Freddie needing to be bailed-out or how about his promotion of state's right as a way to protect his positions. A true-libertarian position is equal rights for all, and that includes gay marriage. But people don't like going into that. Bob Barr's campaign is screwed anyways, his ass is getting whooped by Ralph Nader in getting donations.

Palin did sway my vote! I am still not voting for McCain, but this choice did move me 1/10th of 1 percent closer to doing so.

Seriously, this was a smart move by McPain and/or hi handlers. This will bring a lot of the conservatives back to the fold, Might pick up some feminists (doubt it though, the only thing they hate more than men is beauty pageant winners). But there might be a few that will vote for that extra X chromosome.

Anyhow, McCain probably made this a horse race again.

Give her time. McCain wasn't a neocon at one time either back when he was supposedly a "maverick" in 2000. Hell neither was George "I don't think we should be the policemen of the world" W Bush.

Washington changes them all eventually. Once they get out of Washington they start seeing the light (Barr). But once they come back in...

Paul is the only one who is invincible it seems.

If I were a strategic voter, I'd certainly be voting for this ticket as opposed to the Obama/Biden ticket. One: it'd be awesome seeing a hot chick as VP (vain, I know). Two: Barack Obama would draw people into government; I want people to distrust government as much as possible. Three: if McCain falls over and dies like it looks like he could any moment, we'd have the first women president. But I'm not a strategic voter so it doesn't matter.

How on earth do you reach the conclusion that conservatives will be brought back into the fold with a largely unproven, inexperienced, first year governor of Alaska?

Where are her conservative credentials? Her conservative principles? Where does she possess any authority, if elected, to implement conservative policies? Any conservative who is disenfranchised with McCain will easily see this as a stunt and dismiss it out of hand.

Obama will win easily. GOP will suffer everywhere. I'll be voting Barr.

Right when our country is headed to disaster (economy, the war, civil liberties), dumb Americans are given a choice between a black ticket and a woman ticket. Most of them will never see beyond that and the candidates will be saved from taking on important issues.
