If Kucinich wins nomination, Ron Paul could be his veep

the idea is preposterous and i feel that kucinich is using dr paul's popularity in a dishonest manner.

dr paul is a republican for a reason (a reason that he himself eloquently defended many times).

They have a long history of a close freindship and voting the same for years on foreign policy

exactly.

He isn't. I believe they both are sincere individuals with the welfare of the American people as their first concern. That's rare. I may disagree with him on issues, but he still has my respect.

i agree. and what a lot of people have so far forgotten is that we wouldn't be getting rid of the social programs immediately. The money saved on wars and adventurism would be spent at home to placate those dependent on entitlement programs, for many years to come.

What this means is, Kucinich would be a good guy to have around to oversee those things, while our man focuses on rebuilding our economy and military by the expected means and measures.

Kucinich would also be a great moderating and balancing point for some of the things RP stands for that some voters will find a bit sharp and hard to swallow.

I'm not sure it's a GREAT idea, but I'm pretty sure it's not a TERRIBLE idea.

Besides, what's wrong with the notion that the only 2 honest men running deserve the top 2 spots? :)

Kucinich knows he won't win, and has no future with the Dems. he is angling to be Sec't of State (which would be a fantastic pick)
Sarah Palin is probably pro-war as her son just enlisted Sept 11 2007. Kids join the army either because they are true believers, or they need money for college. the governor's son should not need money so the Palin's must believe in the war.

As I have said, time and time again. If Kucinich gets involved with the Doc's campaign, however hes does....I bolt.

We are trying to elect a REPUBLICAN folks. You SOCIALISTS, Need to start understanding this quickly. Thank you

Kucinich already got lucky once with that wife of his. Lightning doesn't strike twice.

If Kucinich wins nomination, Ron Paul could be his veep

If frogs had wings, their ass wouldn't hit the ground when they hopped either.

Kucinich is a nut case. A very honeset, sincere, stupid, asinine, and dangerous communist obsessed with the goal of disarming Americans and surrendering soveriegnty to the United Nations onslaught to create the "New World Order".

Just because Ron Paul is polite to the guy, doesn't mean they are "freinds".

I have a hard time believing a Constitutionalist such as Ron Paul has much respect for a person whose major goal, is violating it beyond repair.

Although I disagree with Kucinich on a host of issues.. Id vote for him if I had to vote Democratic. Luckily, Im in the winning camp.. You know the one. RON PIZZZZZZZZZZZAUL

I have no idea why people like Kuccinich, he is the opposite of Ron Paul in nearly every way.

Because he's right on the key issues. Speaking only for myself long before anyone announced they would run for president I made up my own "litmus test" for a candidate. They would have to have opposed the Iraq war from the beginning, be against the unPatriot Act, against the department of Homeland inSecurity and against warrantless domestic spying. Kucinich and Paul both pass that litmus test with flying colors. I won't vote for a candidate that doesn't pass that regardless of his or her position on abortion, immigration or other hot button issues. In the final analysis I chose Paul over Kucinich mainly because of Kucinich's view of gun control. If Kucinich would quit acting like the 2nd amendment wasn't part of the bill of rights he wouldn't be so bad.

That said he's delusional if he thinks he's got a better shot at the nomination than Ron Paul. But since Dennis hasn't dropped out (yet) he can't come out and say "Gee, I'd really like a role in the Ron Paul cabinet somewhere."

Overall I think this is a positive development. We're getting attacks from places like the DailyKos that are just as vicious as the ones coming from FoxNews. It's good to know that Dennis respects Ron Paul even though they are miles apart on issues like abortion. And the respect is mutual. Ron Paul realizes that the issues of war and constitutional liberties are the top priority also. I don't see people complaining about Bill Maher (who I can't stand) liking Ron Paul or John Stewart or Stephen Colbert. All of these just are just as liberal as Dennis. (Bill Maher possibly more so.)

Ron Paul called Dennis Kucinich "A good friend of mine".

Just because you don't like Kucinich doesn't mean that Ron Paul has to. Really, what's with all of the "Ron Paul can't like people I don't" stuff? Yes Dennis is wrong on some key issues. But his expressing admiration for our guy does NOT hurt our campaign. In all of the focus on "republicans" people seem to forget that we're going to have to have independents and disgruntled democrats also to win.

We are trying to do this with the help of independents and disgruntled democrats by focusing on what's most important (ending the war and restoring civil liberties gutted by the Patriot Act, the Military commissions act and other unconstitutional laws that BOTH Ron Paul AND Dennis Kucinich rejected.) If it comes down to strictly votes from "traditional republicans" we lose because too many of them still believe in the war. I've just about convinced my brother, who is a Kucinich supporter, to vote for Ron Paul if Kucinich has dropped out by the time the primaries get to his state or if Kucinich is so far behind that a single vote for him won't make a difference. We need more votes like that.

Also VP announcements will likely not be made until Ron Paul has sealed up the nomination. Some people keep prematurely speculating in the vain hope that an early VP announcement will boost the campaign but that's NOT the way things work. I doubt Ron Paul would pick Dennis as a VP (although a cabinet position isn't out of the question) but even if he did it would be until he had all but clinched the nomination. If that happens feel free to "bolt away".

Dennis Kucinich is a communist and the more you people utter him and Dr Paul in the same breathe the more support we will lose. Stop with the blinders on your eyes already. Just because DK says some truth does NOT put him on the same level as Dr Paul.

It kind of makes one wonder that maybe some of these posts arent meant to hurt Dr Paul because I have been seeing way too much of this type stuff lately.

If you want to support Kucinich, thats fine, go do it, but do not assume Ron Paul supporters want anything to do with a socialist.

No way

I support Ron on all the issues, and to even think that Kucinich would be a good VP is scary to me. Kucinich is a closet socialist!!!!!

Well said sir. I concur 100%

Oh get over yourself already! Ron Paul speaks well of DK so there is NO PROBLEM with RP supporters liking DK. And for every person that might "leave" the campaign simply because someone posts something nice ABOUT RON PAUL'S FRIEND DENNIS KUCINICH on a forum, there are likely two others that might consider supporting Ron Paul. I'm getting sick and tired of the "circular firing squad" mentality that's been growing on this forum. Some people are starting to spend more time attacking people who LIKE Ron Paul than they do attacking people who HATE him!

RP as DK's veep? Other way around, if anything.

It would be a strange marriage, but I think it would be a very good one. It could make it easier to form a coalition behind the ideas they agree on.

Besides which, a veep doesn't have much power at all on his own...99% of his power is given to him by the President.

Perhaps you misunderstood my post. I did not say DK was a bad person, I said he was a socialist, which is the exact opposite of Ron Paul. Keep linking the 2 together and you will see bad things come of it. Its one thing to be "friends" with Kucinich, but to link them politically would be the worst possible senario after all the work thats been done. Maybe you should comprehend what you read from now on.
