If he is forced to choose, should Rand keep his Senate Seat or stay in the Presidential Race?

Which race should Rand commit to?

  • Senate

    Votes: 26 44.1%
  • President

    Votes: 33 55.9%

  • Total voters
    59
I think Rand being there in the room makes a big difference. Even if they vote "no", it should be close.

Half a million spent on something other than the campaign. At least if they voted no Rand would have been forced to make a decision. The half-assery continue.x s

Rand said he was still running for both no matter what the decision was today.

So I guess you were really upset when Ron Paul ran for President and his House Seat twice at the same time? What a half assed loser that Ron Paul is.

C'mon, logic and reason don't work on these people.

Technically it was spent on the senate campaign…

That should make the folks in accounting happy, trying to keep records for two separate campaigns. Hope they're following the laws....

Since this is the first piece of good news the campaign has had in a while, I'm not going to begrudge them a little celebration.

However, losing would not have been the worst thing in the world

It would have at least forced the campaign and perhaps the movement itself to make long-term strategic decisions about going forward. Instead, Rand had to take time off the campaign trail to spend a whole day back in his home state nailing down a decision which should have been done months ago. The state GOP has successfully extorted money from the campaign (I don’t care which) to pay for something they should have foot the bill for. I head it’s going to cost at least a half-million to put the caucus on and maybe even more than that if you’re going to have a meeting site in every county (which there are a lot of in remote eastern Kentucky). Who is going to foot bill if the costs go above $500,000? Hmm? This problem could easily come up again. And with a five percent threshold to be awarded delegates, don’t be surprised
if other candidates swoop to pick up a few if the campaign is faltering by Super Tuesday. Some might call it a phyrric victory

Spare me the purity crap, I’ve never objected to multiple campaigns. It’s been done before by many politicians not named Paul so it’s no skin off my nose. What I object to is another Paul Presidential campaign (father and son) which is not a serious, 24/7 all out, full blown effort where problems like these are dealt with by other people, quietly and efficiently and don’t waste time and resources because certain people aren’t putting their full attention to running for the highest political office in the land. Other people volunteering their time and donating their money are making that kind of effort. Would it be too much to ask the Pauls to do the same? This time around we can’t console ourselves about “getting the message out” or building for the future. This is make or break time and Rand has to realize this. He may not like politics (and after today’s circus I don’t blame him) but guess what? It’s the life you chose for yourself Rand. A lot of people believe in you and want you to succeed like it or not. Either reciprocate or don’t bother

here's the deal...the presidential campaign is 24/7 all on and full out.

think about it...anything done for the presidential campaign is a concurrent message for his senate campaign.

have you been to his senate website and his senate campaign store? Theres not even hardly anything in the store to buy...theres a handful of items and 90% marked "out of stock"...he just needed on the ky ballot. the senate campaign will just be in full auto coast mode.

behold...another blind trump supporter raises its ugly head....congrats.

Me? Go look at all the negativity I have spewed at that jackass Trump on here. I'm voting for Rand, I just don't think he is going to win.
