I will be in Duluth, GA for a week. Anyone in that area?

I will be attending a konica minolta training class starting on the 8th.
i don't know the area, so if anyone can give me some info on things to do and see, that would be great.
also, i always like to meet the activist of an area when i travel, so if you want to meet up for drinks one evening let me know.

Pity, I was in Georgia for weeks, Southeast for months. Timing isn't EVERYTHING but it's a lot of it, eh?

Knowing you as I really don't but kinda do, and if you have a car, it might be worthwhile to drive a "triangle" Atlanta-Savannah-Charleston or the other way around, "just" to take a good gander at working ports. The CONFEDERATE MUSEUM in Charleston (can't miss it, at the base of The Market) is super interesting, "just" for the things they MADE BY HAND. You might see mysterious paramilitary vehicles being unloaded in Savannah. Near the remnant brick wall that stands beside the wharf, with ivy growing out the windows. Who hasn't had photographic subject throw objecting hand in front of face, or turn back to camera? But this was the first occasion in my life of more than half a century on which I was officially ordered to DESIST TAKING PICTURES.

Still hope to rendezvous. In Corporate Speak, can we PUSH THE MEETING TO A LATER DATE?

won't have a car. i'm flying into atlanta, taking a shuttle to my hotel in duluth. it doesn't look like a very big town.

I live in between Duluth and Suwanee. If you want to go shopping or waste time, check out the Discover Mills Mall off of Sugarloaf Parkway. Downtown Duluth is a neat little area, but it's more of someplace where a couple would go for ice cream rather than someone just going alone to hang out. There may be a minor league Hockey game at the Gwinnett Arena, and that can provide for entertainment if you have an interest in sports (Even if not a big hockey fan). You have to remember that this is suburbia, so there isn't THAT much to do for someone who is from out of town. If you have anymore questions, let me know.
