Can some one explain to me what the implications are of ron paul supporters taking all these delegations? I'm even reading stuff about ronmey delegates actually being Paul supports and could be unbound even on the first ballot.

What's stopping the party machinery from putting the kabosh on this? Didn't the dems nominate Obama by floor acclimation? What if the leadership of the republicans decide to do that? What are all the rp delegates going to do? Boo? Start shouting "ass-hole" as john boehner hands the crown to the anointed one?

And as far as changing the platform, i mean big deal, they don't follow that or the constitution.

I know this for sure, if a hoard of ron paulers show up at the convention and the party snubs them, romney will have NO chance whatsoever. His best bet right now is that ron paul supporters will dislike obama more and play the 'least two evils' game come november.

It's not your job to worry about that. Your job is to help get as many delegates there as possible, the more delegates, the less likely that happens.

Focus on getting delegagtes. It's easy but unproductive using time/money/energy on side shows.

I just don't want to see anyone get hurt. This is a big undertaking. We are trying to re-make the republican party in ron's image. This will take some doing, and it seems hard to think it can just magically happen with voting and stuff. Maybe i'm just too cynical and have such little faith in the system to give us anything better than poo on a stick when it comes to these things.

I'm thinking we don't "dislike Obama more."

The things you mention could happen just as easy at state conventions so these state conventions are practice for the national convention. They turned the lights out in Nevada in 2008 but in 2012 we got around that and went away with the victory.

Which we do, so what's a roll call accomplish? And again, what if they just throw the rules out the window and just declare Rombamma the nominee?

REAL mutiny. Right now they're calling mutiny with us FOLLOWING THE RULES.

At least it would be on national TV. But Romney may well have the votes on the first ballot, unless he can be stopped, so the first thing to do is to get as many delegates as we can. Until we know how many delegates we have, in a few weeks, we don't know what we can do, really.

They are under the impression that we, the Ron Paul Delegates, will vote for Romney over Obama because we are registered Republican. Quite frankly, I could give two squirts of piss about the Republican Party, Conservative Values, or anything else the "Party" stands for. To me, the "Party" IS the Status Quo. They are the very people I want out. And not just the Republicans, but the Democrats as well. Both "Parties" are private Criminal Clubs. I am not here to support "Party" Politics. I am here because I believe in Liberty and Freedom. And right now, the man carrying the Torch of Liberty is Ron Paul, thus, he gets my undivided support.

In regards to the OP, take a look at Reality Check on the Front Page. There are some clearly outlined things defined in the news clip. There was a Bound McCain Delegate that voted for Romney in 2008, and even the RNC's own Legal Council flat out states that Delegates are Free Agents. When we show up at Tampa en masse and take over the RNC, we will be voting for Ron Paul, as per their own interpretation of the Rules. I doubt much is going to change that. What will change is how strongly they fight back against us. After our victories in NV and ME, they have realized that they underestimated us. And now, they are scared!

This.

If Romney wins the remaining states he will have more than enough bound delegates to win on the first ballot. So priority one is NE and OR, then KY and AR, then TX and so forth. The more bound delegates Paul accumulates in these remaining states, the more likely it will be that Romney will not have enough votes on the first ballot. Romney is sitting somewhere between 811 (his bound total) and 951 (thegreenpapers bound + pledged total). We need to put the brakes on and win primaries.

If you are in an upcoming state, get out there and knock on doors and convince people to vote for Paul in the primary.

Mutiny

Aka, counter convention following the rules - The states that wish to follow the rules will choose to list the nominee from the counter convention on their states ballot..
