“I think the good book says don’t throw stones in glass houses” Obama makes up Bible verse!

"A dagger in the dark is worth a thousand swords at dawn."
-Ezekiel 4:17

"A questioning servant is more dangerous than an ignorant heretic."
-Romans 5:12

"Blessed is the mind too small for doubt."
-Peter 3:15

I used to take "motivational" quotes from a religious, fascist galactic empire within a dystopian science fiction setting and pass them off as Bible quotes...and it worked every time. My father did the same at work and fooled even the church-goers. The game is to start out with things that are somewhat vague, and then slowly introduce quotes that can obviously not be from the Bible, but to see how far you can go. One day, someone finally got it when I quoted, "Fear not the alien, the psyker, the mutant. -Paul 7:13" LOL

If anyone is curious, the game is Warhammer 40,000: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Thought_for_the_day_(A_-_H)

He can't possibly be talking about the bible, because he said it was a good book.

It's not paraphrasing. It's misquoting and not giving credit where credit is due. Dude has writers. And fact checkers. Supposedly.

Obama said: “I think the good book says don’t throw stones in glass houses”

The "I think" shows that he wasn't sure, and makes it much more likely that he was expressing a Biblical idea instead of giving a word-for-word quote.

It doesn't use the "glass houses" words, but it does have a line about "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" and "judge not lest ye be judged".

I try not to judge people , obviously not my job , however , it would be easier if they were not stealing from me.
