I used to support socialized healthcare, I am a paranoid conspiracy geek, and I believe that the US government is highly corrupt. I hate big pharma, which would lobby for more regulations and banning beneficial things like Marjuana and it's derivatives.
I started reading more about the war on drugs and the more I got convinced that healthcare should be private.

Second of all, regulations make things more expensive and obscures innovations for life saving drugs.

Plus I don't want the government telling what to do and not to do with my body. Because if I the government gives me healthcare, they will monopolize and claim authority of my body.
PS: I read articles from "The Free thought Project"

All good points.

And they can be generalized to support the claim that nothing at all should be socialized, whether it be roads, the military, law enforcement, immigration control, or anything else at all.

+rep and yes, keep reading at Free Thought Project.

Yep.

Obamacare was the government deciding healthcare was their responsibility. And the more of these mandates dictated by government fiat rather than market realities, the more warped and disjointed the market will become. Then people will cry out for a savior to help them - the government who twisted the entire market in the first place. Who knows what could happen next, but the government has already decided they have a responsibility to make healthcare 'affordable', and they'll likely just start introducing penalties for all sorts of activities. Want to have pizza but you're fat? Pay a fat tax; you're driving the government's costs up.

Ultimately, it will lead to "single payer" which is far more aptly described as single provider. All healthcare will have to be government sanctioned, and anything the government disagrees with will be prohibited. You have one year to live, and there is experimental treatment that may save your life but isn't government approved? Too bad. You're dying. And you have no choice. Government is the worst of all monopolies, not only is it "allowed under the law", it is the law. And oh yeah, corruption and government incompetence/backroom dealing? Of course. Look at the FDA, Marijuana is a class 1 drug, the highest classification. Cocaine? Class 2. Makes no sense.

So, as I like to say, "just sprinkle a little bit of the government magic on it baby and it'll be all better". It's not like there are people outside the government who have been trying to solve these problems a lot longer or anything.

Not to mention that the cost are not going to be "affordable" (whatever that means) the cost for healthcare in the form of taxes is going to rise. People want whatever treatment they demand and they want it now. They don't and won't give a dam about the taxes because the older generation will be in a different tax bracket than the younger ones. Just look at how the Social security System is propagated in the U.S. any politician that mentions cuts or deductions in benefits will never be re-elected. Same will hold true for single payer healthcare. Anybody denouncing it and its ponzi scheme faces the same ridicule. We have already heard the cries that "we can't get rid of it (repeal Obamacare) because it cost to much" LOL really, they are so dam worried about cost to get rid of it? instead of worrying about the cost of such a system? Its all propaganda, going back to the days in the 1990's when then first lady Hillary Clinton drafted her plan to reform healthcare. Its been on a single payer agenda ever since. This is not about "affordability" or coverage, its about the government reaping dollars from your illness.

Thx for the +rep, and I realized that I am not the only libertarian conspiracist. But why are conspiracy theorists more libertarian leaning?

I totally agree, I used to support healthcare, the idea of single payer healthcare sounds good on paper and depends on the circumstances, but the more you think about it the less good it sounds.

There was nothing affordable about obamacare, many people got bankrupted and didn't help.

THe people in Washington do not care what we think.
I disagree, the government will do it's best to police and monitor what we are thinking by any means necessary, the government is run by the corporate elite, the Fed, and the Rothschilds.
You don't see the government censoring content, but censorship is enforced in Universities and campuses are places for students and professors to get exposed to new ideas and discuss them. I am a Libertarian and yes college campuses are private properties, but I think freedom of speech should be enforced everywhere even on private property.
And let's not forget that the 1% use social engineering to divide & conquer the masses, making two sides of the debate on every single issue, and if you have a nuanced position or third alternative on any issue you are demonized and dismissed. People who think freely and independently are ostracized by society. I have been accused of being an SJW by the right as well as a fascist by the left.
