I'd like to add it is extremely urgent that we would get going in Michigan.

Michigan is a rare opportunity because the Democrats don't have a primary.
They got disqualified completely by the Democrats when they moved up the election date.

We are not only talking about crossover votes; We are talking about people who are not allowed to have a voice. We need to convince them to vote for Ron Paul as a protest vote, antiwar vote, pro-pot, anti-drug war, etc.

This is not correct! Hillary is the only "top tier", ahem, Democrat on the Michigan Primary Ballot see list here Link.

Democrats can vote for "uncommitted" if they want.

"An "uncommitted" vote would send delegates to the Democratic National Convention who are not "committed" to any particular candidate. Those delegates could vote for a candidate of their choice at the convention. You can also select a "write in" candidate, but there's a catch. Diana Ketola, the Chair of the Grand Traverse County Democratic Party says, " (although) there's also the option of write in but because of some rule changes under the Engler administration, write in votes will not be counted.""

As far as signs go, there are allot of them especially up in the Port Huron area (Ron Paul country) and in the "thumb".

I did see alot of Mitt Romney signs in metamora on m-24 this morning tho. Actually right on the edge of the road which is too close per the rules (30ft from center line of county roads).

Keep spreading the word!

I'm from the Port Huron area, and I can say, without a doubt, that Ron Paul will do very well in Macomb and St. Clair county.

Shit load in SE Michigan. Especailly Oakland County. I noticed a lot at Arab owned establishment. So possibly good news on that front.

I just got back from getting an absente ballot. I'm unfortunally going out of town tomorrow so I miss all the action.

Same here, except I'm in Alabama. I'm going out for my absentee ballot in a few minutes, that will be one in the bag for Feb. 5th in AL. I'm actually in Huntsville and there are over 200 members of our meetup group! It's pretty exciting here, but I'm still working on getting more votes for Dr. Paul.

The democrats...specifically dailykos have a plan to try to organize MI democrats to vote for Romney. Who knows if this will work but the official campaigns of Obama and Edwards have told their supporters to vote uncommitted to "send a message".

I'm happy to report that there are a bunch of RP signs in SE Michigan! I personally have handed out about 25 in Royal Oak alone!

And yes, it seems many gas stations have big wood framed RP signs on busy street corners. I think we have the arab vote which is huge in SE Michigan!

But lets not get overly confident. Many still dont know about the messed up Democrat ballot let alone the fact that there is a PRIMARY on tuesday. This could work in our favor, we will see.

Get out there and spread the good work about Ron paul if you live in Michigan. Let your Obama and Edwards friends know they aren;t on the ballot, and there is no value to the democrat vote in Michigan. Why not give RP some love!?

I hear Ann Arbor is loaded with them. It's a very libertarian area, though, so that shouldn't be too surprising.

We need the Obama vote. Seriously.

A fair amount in West Michigan. Only other sign I saw was for Huckabee.

Radio, Ron has been on for awhile on various stations. Supposedly a lot of direct mail as well. No TV though, and Romney/McCain have had a lot of TV ads.

I think a person voting "uncommitted" is like playing Russian Roulette with your vote. You may have the delegate that is selected cast their vote for someone you would NEVER have voted for.

Since im not quite sure how the dems feel about Ron Pauls chances against their nominee, you could tell them instead that they can still use their vote effectively and pick the 'weakest' Republican on the ballot. If they believe that, they deserve to lose in Nov :D

We've got a few flyer designs comparing Ron Paul with Obama. They're not the best, but they're all we could come up with in such a short time without any higher level help. If anyone's interested, I'll post the designs.
