I Pledge To Never Vote For Ted Cruz, Who's With Me?

Will you support Ted Cruz after he missed the Audit the Fed vote today?

I'm voting Rand Paul for president, no compromise. Ted Cruz creeps me out. He looks like Nancy Pelosi with his facial expressions like an Alien trying hard to move his face muscles under a human mask.

I actually fairly enthusiastically voted for Ted when he ran for Senate (both in the primary and general election) for, presumably, the same reasons why Ron and Rand endorsed him. As a candidate, he had an obvious libertarian streak and spoke out against the indefinite detention, federal subsidies, and the bank bailouts. But he's pandered so much to the neocons and the social conservatives in Iowa that it's evident that he cares far more about the fortunes of Ted Cruz than the fortunes of individual liberty.

Until yesterday, there was about a 30% chance that I could support him as an alternative to Rand. But that over with, and I'm over Ted.

Welcome to the RPF.

UGH. Your thread says "I pledge never to vote for Ted Cruz, who's with me" ?
So I voted YES meaning YES I'm with you....
Hence, my vote is recorded in the wrong place.
Cruz in my opinion is not even eligible for the office.

Reminds me of this nonsense.

^^^Except that's a pledge to support whoever wins the nomination, regardless of his principles (or lack thereof).

Whereas this is a pledge to not support a particular unprincipled weasel, on the basis of him being an unprincipled weasel.

I wasn't paying attention. I voted Yes to this: "I Pledge To Never Vote For Ted Cruz, Who's With Me?" I would never vote for such a piece of #@$#$ because he is a worthless #@$#@$#@. He is a fake piece of @$##@$#@$#@. He steals his routine from Rand and adds Giuliani in and swishes it in his mouth and spits it in our faces. Its Dondero Libertarianism. They deserve to be in the same level of hell as Trump supporters. We should just make Obama dictator or military coup because we aren't going to get a decent candidate. Its rigged. We don't get to choose our emperor. Obama was terrible but we could be having World War III right now.

Could the savages in the House be better targets to usurp?

Missing the Audit the Fed vote is the straw that broke the camel's back. I wouldn't have voted for him anyways, but I still respected the fact that he did indeed Stand with Rand on the Senate floor.

I now Pledge to you, the internet, that I'll never support Ted Cruz in any way shape or form again. Who's with me?

I'm a Vermin Supremer, so I'm with you by default. :) ~hugs~

I pledge, here and now, to vote for the only politician that holds my beliefs about liberty and whom I can trust!

I accidentally clicked on "no". I don't like Cruz but if it were to wind up being him vs Hillary, I'd maybe vote for him. The reason: gun rights.

It's pathetic that he didn't show up to vote today but let's be honest. He doesn't really have a problem with the Fed. The Fed's actions helped fund his household (his wife's salary).

Sorry about that, I took the "Who's with me?" part out of the title.

He's wrong about a number of things, but he's the only candidate other than Paul that I would support and vote for in the general. If the nominee is Trump, Jeb, or some other loser, I'm out.

He was also a disaster in the debate last night. That put a very fine point on it for my husband, who was leaning Cruz.

Will not vote for Cruz, what's the sense? The Dems have already said they will sue to make sure he is eligible to run for president. Ted has still yet to produce the FS-240 form that all American citizens with children born abroad must file with the US consulate, if they are outside of US jurisdiction. This is going to be one big cluster fuck. As much as I truly hate to say it, the nod is going to be Trump. Who Trump picks as his running mate will determine whether or not I vote for him or sit my ass at home.

I don't like Ted Cruz. But right now I'm hoping that he will keep Donald Trump from running away with everything. I once had that hope for Ben Carson but the irrational smear campaign against him turned out to be too much. (Seriously? Hating on someone for overcoming a violent past? We live in a truly horrible country.) What I don't want is a repeat of 2012 where every viable challenger to then front runner Mitt Romney was beat down to the point where when Ron was the last man standing there was absolutely no hope of even a brokered convention. Donald Trump is currently enemy #1. Everything that distracts us from that fact only makes his win that much more inevitable. Donald Trump supports an assault weapons ban. Never forget that!

I wouldn't have voted for him anyway. I can smell scum like him from a mile away.

The only people I know that prefer him over Rand are people who spend too much time in state/military worshipping churches.

Rafael Cruz has that preachy "manifest-destiny" air about him that they just eat up, and Rand is too secular for them.

Cruz's people seek comfort for their murderous anti-liberty beliefs, and need to be reminded that God says it's ok to bomb the nonbelievers.
