I now believe Ron has been sandbagging.

If he looks into the camera and talks to America it could get very interesting.

And that is EXACTLY what he needs to do! He needs to look America (not the commentator) in the eyes, deflecting whatever dumbass question he gets asked and then lay it out for the people. Tell the commentator when he interrupts that he has 2 minutes so just let me look like the nut you make me out to be.

America, you're being used. Your govt has been taken over by powerful corporate interests, laws are written in their favor not yours. I am your chance to take america back to the true owners, YOU. State as much as possible in 2 minutes and refer them to the campaign website.

I'm sure he could have this planned ahead of time, written out very well and he could deliver it like nobody else could.

Is this a revolution or isn't it? Lay it out there Ron, have your website ready with your points in detail, there are multitudes of people here willing to do it. Tell America to stop listening to these false prophets and hear it straight from you, they can accept it or reject it. I have a feeling a lot of people would accept it.

You're polling horribly everywhere, what the hell do we have to lose?

I don't think they know which camera they would have to look into to do that at the debates.

Amazing line (writing from memory - so it will not be as good as the one delivered by Dr. Ron Paul) to remind the lost Republicans:

Borrow $10 BILLION from China to give to Musharraf whose government overthrew/killed democratic leaders and then fight war .... to spread democracy in Iraq and lose 1000s of soldiers! What is going on here?

I wish this wakes up the Republican masses to realize who is the real conservative Republican on the stage!

Word.

Seriously, after the debate tonight, I believe Ron has been doing the "rope a dope" as mentioned in another thread and sandbagging.

He just turned his whole campaign up to level 11. Someone else said it in another post, but I'll reiterate:

1) The "Onward" letter: http://ronpaul2008.typepad.com/ron_paul_2008/2008/01/message-from-ro.html

2) The public debunking of the old newsletters.

and

3) His debate performance tonight was FANTASTIC. He tore the entire Neo-Con movement a new asshole tonight with the greatest comeback I have ever seen. I've watched this video 9 times already tonight and it still gives me goosebumps.

As someone said in the chat during that moment:
"shit...on that note a commercial."

No. Look in his eyes. The pause was dramatic and intentional.

WOW< everyone is missing it besides a few..turn up the volume, read his lips..

"THEIR WAY" is said...

he hated he had to do it, and he threw that in to tip us off so eventually we won't ask for his head. Who wants to be chased like sean Hannity..it will get a lot worse for these fascists...

this is what we call the "nuremburg defense"

Paul's answer to this question was absolutely awesome. It even eclipsed the moment earlier in the debate when he firmly but politely steered Faux away from the "9/11 truther" question to allow him to answer the Reagan coalition question that everyone else got a shot at.

Someone earlier in this thread said that America would never elect a third party candidate. Go back to '92 - if Ross Perot (what is it with the initials RP?) hadn't of dropped out, he would've beaten both Clinton and Bush according to national polls.

Both of these men were very smart and relevant. The problem Ron Paul is facing that Perot didn't have is the strong fear that Bush & Co. have introduced into American culture. People love Paul on all the issues except for national security - they think he's irrelevant because the current regime has convinced everybody that we have to occupy half the planet in order to protect ourselves from religious wackos. It's why he's written off by a lot of people who would have eagerly voted for him in earlier years.

Paul did very well in the debate, but his poll numbers are still dropping (latest Rasmussen national tracking poll puts him at 2%, down from 4% a few days ago). I think the newsletter scandal has had a bigger effect than the debate on his support. Clearing that up should be priority 1 for his campaign.

Those crazy Texans :D

I think Paul could pull a Perot rather easily considering the quality of all the other candidates. (Left at least)

Does anyone get the weird "their way" guttural remark by Carl Cameron when he asks the electability question? What does he mean by that? Very strange!

Is this why Fox pulled that out of the debate or was it the great response by Paul, or both?

Watch closely when he pauses:

Ron Paul SC Debate on Electability Question 5 - 01/10/2008

Whoa! I didn't even notice that before. Maybe that was the point. He didn't seem to be ashamed or anything like that. It looked like he intentionally looked right at Dr. Paul and said "Their way." WTF??!!?!?

And the way he said it was really creepy. Like it was supposed to be subliminal or something. I know i'm sounding all tin foiled up right now, but when you consider that fox uses these types of techniques daily in their broadcasts, in makes you stop to think.
