Dr Paul may have underperformed tonight, but we must remain strong. In the words of Dr Paul, elections are short term functions, revolutions are long term endeavors. We have NH and several caucus states to look forward to. Do not let this night discourage you from fighting for what is right.

This was done against huge media bias, and with them pumping Frothy for the last week.
Even the media is calling it a three man race now.
Like ron just pointed out in his speech, only two of those three have the money and the organization to move forward. Even CNN and others were pointing out that Santorum cannot stay in the lead because now we have a vote almost every week, and he has neither the money or the organization to deal with that. And he doesn;t have the time to build it.
As the campaign has strategized from the beginning - it is a two man race, there are just 5 other candidates that haven;t figured that out yet.
Love you all, I am still suspicious that entrance polls gave Paul the edge and then he gets third, with both Romney and Santorum 4% up? - either lousy polling or dirty dealing - but that is for the campaign to deal with, if at all.
They need us.

I really like the optimism, but I'm sure we can all admit that we are really frustrated/upset over this. This wasn't the best case scenario, nor was it the worst. Just gotta keep pushing forward and now they HAVE to attack Romney. They slipped up by just going after Newt, for the most part.

I've been following this campaign for 6 years now and let me tell you - tonight brings tears of joy to my eyes. I know we wanted first, but, like many of you reading this who were around in 2008, I wasn't optimistic. But 21% of the vote?! That's insane! It's such a huge step forward for all of us, for Dr. Paul, and for this movement. I can't tell you how encouraged I am.
I've had my moments of negativity, of thinking that Ron had to get first here to have a shot, but we have an amazing truth on our side - the longer the election goes, the greater our numbers grow. We have a movement here, a real movement.
To everyone, new and old, it's an absolute honor and pleasure to work beside such incredibly motivated, intelligent, and freedom-loving people. I assure you that when the dust settles, whether it's this year or twenty years from now, we will all be standing victorious. The philosophy of freedom will prevail, and a huge, monumental leap has been taken tonight. Thank you all so much. So, so much.

The polls had Ron between 20 and 24%. We fell into what was expected. The social-neocon vote has been splintered for a while, and with the media pumping up Frothy, the undecideds and many Bachmann supporters went for him. A couple ads about him, and he's finished. Then it's Romney as the only challenger.
Remember Santorum lost reelection by 18%. How often does that happen for an incumbent without a major scandal?
