This sort of awakening is inevitable. This Ron Paul movement is part of something much larger, imho. I believe the next 5 years will see the greatest change the world has ever known.

There is certainly no cause to be in despair. Many of you were hoping for huge finishes in Iowa and NH, but you don't realize everything is moving in our favor. Yes, the polls are right. Yes, we have to continue the work we've been doing.

Have I bumped my head, or have we made serious strides in this so far?

So what intelligent person would give up now? We won't give up, is the answer. Maybe a handful of us that were not ready. Americans are ready for this message, and they're just starting to get it. What will steal the thunder of the front runners? Only time will tell. If Ron Paul's poll numbers rise any more the fire will be even more difficult for them to contain than it is now. There's a reason why this campaign's slogan starts with the word HOPE, and I for one am not giving up hope.

I have been voting as an independent on informed principal for over 30 years and it is difficult when you do your research and know what is going on and know that the system is so damn corrupt and that 95 out of 100 people just don't give a damn.

A good book for your list is America's Suicidal Statecraft: The self-destruction of super power by James Cumes.

Personally, I have been a professional recluse for about ten years now. Seriously... I work from home and generally only see the light of day when I absolutely have to go out to the store.

Ever since I started getting involved with this revolution, I joke that Dr. Paul cured my agoraphobia.

Yes, it can be painful to listen to how utterly uninformed and naive people can be when you start talking about serious subjects with them. I've found that the trick is to break the information down into easy-to-swallow pieces and understand that you will not be able to persuade everyone you meet. You can't match the "credibility" of what these people see on TV. Some people wouldn't recognize common sense even if you bopped them over the head with it.

But there are the few educated pearls among the oysters. It just takes some time to find them. In the meantime, we should try to reach the younger generations and encourage them to put down the video games and pick up a book.

I know how you feel.

My advice is to turn this into an advantage in life.

I'm an investor and the BS that goes on in the investment community is just as bad as in the political world. The good news is that those of us that understand the game and understand the truth can beat out 99% of the sheeps in the financial industry.

Read Warren Buffett's essays to get a good fundamental perspective in investing, read the Creature from Jekyll Island to get a good understanding of the Financial Industry, read mises to understand and predict the bubbles/bursts, and learn from people who saw clearly from day one the credit bubble/crisis and the housing bubble/crash, and now the recession. Stay away from mainstream advice. If you want to be average stick with the index funds.

Not only is it really profitable, it will also let you appreciate Ron Paul's understanding of the economy.
