When they ask Paul about all the negative ads and how nasty he's being, (because you know they'll ask and you know they'll characterize it as being unsavory) this should be his answer:

"If you think it's rough when I expose their records, just wait until you see when I expose Obama's!"

Bam. Turns any negative into a positive. Makes people want to see the negative ads against Obama. The only way they get to see those ads is to elect Ron Paul.

Yes. This is great. He needs to attack Obama more in these debates and in his speeches. That's what Republican voters want.

The only problem with this is that it's generic. Any other candidate can give this answer. And any other will.

Except many things that can be said about Obama can be said about the other candidates. Ron is the only pure conservative in the race.

Yeah, but nobody else is putting out ads as brutally hard-hitting as Paul.

Gingrich is complaining about them. - this response makes him look weak against Obama.
Romney lets his PAC do the dirty work.
Santorum is trying to take the high road - mostly because he hasn't had the funds.
Perry does it, but they're not very effective.

And they all pretend like they don't like the negative ads. Only Ron Paul is embracing the tactic by saying, "if the media won't expose them, I will."

I bet if he says this, the crowd goes wild, Santorum's face gets all red, Gingrich bows his head, and Romney laughs in appreciation.

someone tell Ron this... this is the perfect answer. Plus, we need to attack obama more. Everyone assumes Romney is the front runner cause he always talks about beating obama

There other problems with this response besides being generic. First of all it's a non-response, which is contrary to Ron's style. Also, instead of saying that his ads are true, and they help people to understand the positions of his opponents, and it is his responsibility as a candidate to do that, your suggested response implies that he's doing this just for the pleasure of attacking. He's kind of macho guy that will overmacho Obama "himself." Forget issues. Forget record. Forget truth. My delivery will be the toughest. I will kill him with roughness. This is not Ron.

Yes, I like it! I hope the campaign watches this thread and listens to this kind of stuff. This is what can win elections.

Yeah. He can also say, along with the suggestion in this thread, something like "My opponents are upset that I have exposed their hypocrisy in my videos. I've done nothing but tell the truth, and I fully welcome any of the other candidates to do the same to me. I dare you to release a video that 'exposes' me as a faux fiscal conservative. I dare you to find a vote that I cast which raised taxes or raised government spending. I dare you."
