I just heard 3 times on Fox say that the New Fox News poll was also based on a Large Turnout..

Heard it from 3 different people. This could be HUGE. They are predicting a turnout that probably won't happen.. The media isn't realizing that Trump's ground game is TERRIBLE... If the turnout is lower, Rand is going WAY up. The fact that Rand is up too 6 percent in a fox poll that polled 3 landlines for every cell phone user AND predicting another crazy turnout is a big deal...

Several of these people on fox (mostly from Cruz camp) are stating that turnout is being over-estimated. We have several reasons to be excited about caucus night... We have 6 more days to go to work.. We could use your help! Be apart of the biggest upset in presidential history!

60% chance of snow in Des Moines, Sioux City, Ames, and Cedar Rapids on 2/1. I'm not sure if snow will be a good thing or bad thing for us--our supporters will come out, it's just a matter of whose supporters will stay home.

A turnout the size of 2012 would be great.

I'm really praying that mother nature gives Rand a big hand here! Rand definitely benefits from a low turnout and it's possible he can bring hundreds of thousands of new caucus goers too.

I do think snow helps us. Many caucuses will be taking place ON college campuses and that means walking distance. No other candidate (maybe bernie) has this advantage. I don't have any other information besides that liberty supporters tend to thrive in caucuses that would lend to this being "science".

Good one!

Iowans are used to snow.

How m any college students are in a position to have a few "guests" the night before the caucus? ...for those coming from some distance not so great to drive in the snow.

I heard that Rubio was organized on college campuses...is this true? I find it hard to believe young people would go for him, but that is what I have been told by a person who has two kids in college there.

Rubio has an above average presence there considering the republican field. NO where close to what Rand has. He doesn't have the message to go there and speak

Heard the CNN poll also had this problem. Nate Silver said at his site that those models help Bernie and Trump and are likely unrealistic.

Yep exactly super mario, Rand just mentioned this on FBN actually..Predicting a tripling of voters is ridiculous.. I would be SHOCKED if turnout was over 150k let alone 300k lol..

Thanks. I couldn't figure out what his message would be to appeal to the students.

If the turnout is 300k+ for the GOP IA caucus, thanks to Rand's plan, God, it could be a huge Randstorm next Monday!!

True, but it doesn't mean it won't stop a good number from showing up. Long day at work, picked up the kids..and then drive out in the snow to go stand in line to vote? That is too much work for some people, particularly supporters of every other candidate in IA except Paul and Cruz.
