I just donated to Art Robinson for Congress

Just talked to Art Robinson's son for about 10 minutes on getting plugged in to help their campaign. He said Art does well at getting the older vote but not the younger voters. His view and policies on war and liberty are the same as Dr. Paul's.
I know the media here and nationally has really did a number on him.

EDIT: Sorry, should have read this thread more thoroughly, two posts above answers the question I just asked.

Art Robinson seems like a friendly, good man. I think he is excellent on the issues, and he would be a wonderful addition to Congress.

DeFazio tries to hide...but he can't hide from his liberal votes. Compared to Nancy Pelosi, he is a better Democrat (having voted against the Patriot Act, foreign wars, the stimulus, etc.)...but why vote for him when we can have a stronger LIBERTY congressman like Art Robinson.

I just donated another $20 to Art's campaign. He's over the $200,000 raised mark so far so he's doing ok!

Thank you for your contribution to the Robinson campaign.

Your contribution at this time is especially valuable to our efforts.

Now, while we have time to build the most effective campaign effort, contributions have a greater effect on the ultimate election result.

We will do our very best to see that our work justifies the confidence you have placed in us through this contribution.

Thank you.

Art

I think he does have a good chance and I like that his chosen campaign method is unorthodox (and it needs to be to beat the incumbent) and he's a no bullshit kind of guy, like Ron.

Anti-incumbent sentiment is pretty high right now overall with Congress approval ratings at like 18% positive. He did get a positive Wash Times cover story a couple weeks ago. Not many challengers with very poor chances get that treatment.

In 2010, he ran the most competitive campaign against the incumbent (DeFazio) in the last two decades. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oregon's_4th_congressional_district

The district only rates as D+2 on the Cook PVI, so if it starts to get tight DeFazio might have to debate him, which is where it potentially gets interesting :p

Thanks. That is quite interesting. I remember hearing his name but thinking he was a long shot. It seems like he is even raising enough money to be competitive.

I remember him having a good screaming match with Rachael Maddow (YouTube in POST #5)

I loved that... a good street fight interview. He called her out on what she was trying to do, no BS'n got past him!
Too bad he dug in so deep that none of his science views could even get out.

His take on things makes complete sense to me.

I also remember his late wife and the whole "homeschooling" thing...

SMART KIDS TOO!
