No matter how much money we raise, the marches, the internet support, etc, etc, etc... ...when it comes down to it, RP supporters in Iowa didn't do their job at the caucuses. I'm reading way too many stories now about how RP supporters didn't volunteer to be delegates, they didn't volunteer to speak about him at the caucuses, they didn't even care to observe the vote counting. I'm not saying as a whole, that all Iowa RP supporters sat on their asses in the caucuses, but I'm sure seeing a lot of stories pointing in this direction. I was seeing this earlier today even before the caucuses where people from Iowa knew nothing, and I mean nothing about the whole delegate process. There's really no point us continueing if we don't know the delegate process and actually participate. I'm very dissapointed.

But... ...now is the time for RP supporters to wake up and see what they need to do. We've got a few more earlier states to fight for. I hope this forum and other RP web sites will do whatever it takes to educate the newbies about how the delegate process works. Otherwise honestly it's pointless to continue. We're going to get beat out state after state by experienced caucus goers that are there to push their MSM candidate.

Note - please take this as a positive post, not a negative one.

yeah... i mean this is our weakness.

we're all grassroots but that doesn't work all the time. You have to have people who can work the system and the campaign should have hired more people to network instead of putting it all on noob volunteers.

our strength was our army on the ground and it looks like we don't have that.

well theres alwasy NH, lets start now.

Who's from NH thats a part of this forum??

I learning that no matter how much we do - Stupid people will still be controlled by the MSM. People here are too dumb to see when their liberty is being taken away. I'm leaving - done - thats all everyone.

If we get crushed in New Hampshire then we should give up. But Iowa isn't that important.

If there's one good thing about this caucus, it's that we learned he garnered the most support from Independents, not McCain. 29% to 23% for McCain and downhill from there. He also garnered more than half of the crowd that is angry at Bush. Look at Party ID

The bad news, aside from not winning or beating someone other than Giuliani or Hunter, is that Obama won, which many think will drain a lot of Independents in NH from the Republican side.

we learned that iowa sucks... and that most iowa independents and republicans don't care about the future of this country. really...obama...sheep

I have to tell you, none of that crap meant anything.

People showed up at the caucuses to vote for other candidates.

We had no chance tonight because Iowans didn't want to vote for us. Not volunteering to be part of the delegate process meant nothing.

Ron Paul is polling higher then the MSM said he would. So that is a plus.
He also is beating Gooliani so there is no excuse for FOXNEWS to ignore him.

Double digits in Iowa & people bitch and moan...sheesh, Rome wasn't built in a day folks. This was a good night.

You are right and it is especially irritating because we are only 3% below McCain and Thompson. We need to learn from this.
