I heard that Eric Dondero wrote the Racist crap

How about they produce one person who has ever heard anything racist come out of Dr. Paul's mouth?

You would think, if he had anything to do with any of that, it would be easy.

but i don't see it, and you won't see it. It doesn't exist.

Nah, the comments in those newsletters are too PC for Dumbdero.

I think you are giving the guy too much credit, he isn't that clever.

Someone should mail the tv stations with this information so they investigate it, don't forget to mention Dondero is working for Giuliani

even if they only mention that it's possible, it'd help relieve the pressure

not my usual methods, but I think it's ok in this instance to help shape this story before it goes to far

I know Dondero, and while I strongly disagree with him on foreign policy and other issues, he clearly was not the writer in question. No matter how one feels about Dondero, it doesn't do Ron Paul or the movement any good to blame the wrong person.

Where did you "hear" that Dondero wrote it? He wasn't even working for Ron Paul during the time.

Look, I think the guy's a snake but let's not get carried away...

Some Statements by Mr. Dondero

Wow! Andy. That’s news to me about Ron Paul calling for Bush’s impeachment. I wonder how many of RP’s constituents here in Texas know of this.

He’s got one persona on crazy conspiratorial talk shows. Quite another in his District. In Dist. 14 he’s Mr. Republican. He’s Mr. Pro-Military. He’s Mr. Loyal Bush supporter.

You should see some of the District mailings I get from Ron Paul’s office.

Let’s see now, perhaps it could have a little something to do with the fact that I WAS A LIBERTARIAN PARTY ACTIVIST WHEN YOU WERE IN FRIGGIN’ DIAPERS NEWBIE

You’re talking to a guy that was petitioning for the Libertarian Party in bumfuck Western Nebrask way back in 1985. I’ve helped to get the LP on the ballot in over 20 states since, including 4,000 sigs collected right here in Texas in the 2004 drive.

It sickens me to see all you Newbie fucks coming into my Libertarian movement and turning it into some America-hating Pacifist Hippie Islamo-Fascist loving group.

Why don’t you all just leave. Go be Liberals. We true Libertarians don’t want you. Can’t you all understand that???

Dondero is a Libertarian of the "Mainstream" strain, or rather desperately seeking Mainstream attention. They spend their time doing drugs and wonking out about policy papers that never go anywhere.

I agree, Dondero is a wackjob and probably incapable of actually writing something in a newsletter. However, I specifically remember from some of his rambling posts that he claimed that he worked as an aide or something to Ron Paul starting with the '88 Libertarian run, where he first got to know the good doctor. Therefore, he could have possibly been one of the people overseeing or contributing to the newsletter. Some of the comments fit with his own diatribes.

However, since Ron Paul has always said that the person responsible was fired immediately, I don't think it was Dondero. It seems to be someone else.

It's OBVIOUSLY NOT Dondero and he dropped out of contention for the house seat months ago- never filed that I know of.

Eric Rittberg Dondero has his issues and inconsistencies, but his main disagreement is over foreign policy.

It's ridiculous people are wasting time on him when he's the one who probably named the writers in the first place and was the main guy saying RP had multiple other writers and interns. If anything he HELPS the cause and idea that those words were not Paul's.

You can find out the identity of the author by looking around the web a little bit. It's an open secret in the libertarian community.
