i met one that supported him because she believed the world was coming to an end and they needed a christian leader to help save them from anti christ.

I met one today - he was a Democrat who wanted to screwup the GOP as best he could since his Dem vote wouldn't count anyway. I tried to get him to vote for Ron Paul to do that, but he insisted that Huckabee was the best way to screw the GOP, so that was how he would vote.

As far as i know he doesn't .. I could care less if he does or doesn't .. Same thing with abortion and all the other things that are suposid issues .. Yet don't mean a god damn thing in real life..

RP wont be able to change a damn thing about Abortion or Gay marriage.

The real issues are the economy and the war..


I personally do not agree with his Religious views .. I could care less about those though.. They in the long run mean jack shit when your president. His Finance and anti war views are what is important .

I explained to him that RP's version was infinitely better as it not only removed the income tax, but does not add a 30% tax on goods. As a child I went to a christian private school. It's a completely brainwashed bunch. I've never understood how someone of christian faith could support so much violence and bloodshed.

I am a Christian and I am around friends that believe this stuff all the time. My close friends all agree with me now as I have had a chance to sway them over time with reason. I don't have time here, but there is a lot of programming concerning the NWO's influence in Scoffield's dispensationalism. This info is taught in all the evangelical semitaries and it is anti-Christian. I teach Bible study and use commentaries dating to the early 1800's prior to dispensational movement with Tim LaHaye, John Hagee, et all. It takes quite some time to deprogram people once they have been taught it all their lives!

Contrast that with Ron Paul that is a true Christian the believes in peace, helping the weak, fighting a "just war" if one has to fight, honesty, humility, etc. Use him as your role model, not Bush, McCain, the Huckster, etc.

Naturally, but I doubt that would have helped the conversion. I expect he mistook biblical origins for "cut off your nose to spite your face" as his basis.

Virtually my entire family, barring my mother (who is a Ron Paul supporter) is for Huckabee. They just like the fact that he's charming and uber Christian. That's it. When I ask them what issues they like Huckabee on, they ALWAYS ALWAYS say "Abortion, gay marriage... that stuff" I swear those five words are like a mantra to Huck supporters.
