Can there be 2 republicans at the main election? if Ron Paul stays funded could it end up as McCain vs Paul vs Hillary or Obama? or is there a process that eventually makes it to where their is only 1 representative for each party at the main election?

Just one- that slot is what they are competing for now. The caucuses and primaries are the process which selects one candidate from each major party to represent the party as the Presidential nominee.

It depends, if there is an extremely contentious convention, a portion of the party could walk out and the state parties would have to decide who they want to be the nominee for their state's electors.
