Where are the MD supporters....and if your here have you seen anything about RP or done anything in MD to spread the message?

I take it you haven't joined a meet up group. Maybe you should before accusing MD of slack. Hell, look at the number of threads in this forum.

Yeah, Maryland has been at the forefront!

They won the state straw poll and have filed a full slate of delegates. Plus there are the Ron Paul Republicans running for Congress.

They've done marvelously so far, I'd say.

what im saying is i barely see any RP support in the baltimore area....it could be that i live in baltimore city for one...and two everybody is scared to come here....

Please seek out some of the other groups. We are very strong in Maryland. A Baltimore City Meetup group was just started this week.

Please find out what congressional district you are in and I will direct you to the district captain. http://www.house.gov/writerep/

You are right, support from Baltimore city has been week and we could use some help. us in the burbs have organized things very well however.

There was a statewide planning meeting on Thursday with over 40 in attendance. I don't want to go into details here, but we had a very productive meeting.

Eastern Shore

I am on the Eastern Shore of MD and I have been talking to everyone, putting up signs, knocking on doors, sign waving, handing out literature etc. The only campaign signs in my town are Ron Paul signs so yes.. Marylanders are working hard throughout the state to get the job done!

From Ellicott City just west of Baltimore here. I tell everyone I know about RP but I plan to do much more. I'm going to start canvassing in Howard County as soon as I get materials from the campaign.

My name is Patrick Citroni and I am running as Delegate to the Convention. I am also the district 7 captain for the grassroots campaign which encompasses a large protion of Howard Co. If you have not already joined the Maryland 7th Congressional District meetup please do so. Also email me directly at patrick at newdealfunding dot com. We have a door to door event scheduled for Sat 12/29 at 10am in Howard Co. I also have phone lists. We need all the help we can get.

I live in the Maryland bit of the DC metro area, but I am part of a DC meetup, as it's the easiest for me to get to (I am sans car and rely totally on the Metro/bus/shoe-leather stagecoach to get around). I've been writing letters and talking to people. We are here!

The only thing I've seen here is my campus was painted Ron Paul for awhile. You know I figured I would have seen more signs here considering most people here would rather be left alone since the rest of the state pretty much neglects the existence of Western Maryland. Then again this district would be an easy victory if it ended in Washington County and not Fredrick County. Then again half the registered voters here can't vote in primaries anyway since their Independents. I've always hated this closed primary deal.

I am in baltimore city.

I put a few lawn signs in Charles Village that disappeared within 24 hours. Baltimore City is so socialist, a lot of people are hostile to our message.

I heard people from Red Emmas (the communist bookstore/coffeeshop) are taking down some of our signs.

I put up 5 signs around the Calverton/Powder Mill Road exit area (exit 29) of I-95 on sunday night. Out of the 5, 3 were removed within 24 hours.

The Transportation Authority in MD is very strict in regards to signs. From my reading of the regulations, you actually need to get approval before putting any signs up on public property along roadways as they are viewed as a "Safety Hazard".

I was thinking of putting a big Ron Paul sign on the other side of my fence, which happens to run along Severn and sees alot of traffic due to the Arundel Mills Mall. Even though it is my own property, I can't do this without getting approval.

MD really can suck sometimes. And then they tax you for their sucking.

Anyone from the Severn area BTW? I should mention the Provinces has a fair number of fairly conservative military and ex-military households, and it's a big development.

~X~

I care!! I am the organizer for the Calvert County Ron Paul Meetup: http://www.ronpaul.meetup.com/840

I've done literature drops, talked to countless people, and I turned my truck into a moving billboard. I put up signs around Solomons, MD, but most were removed within a couple of days. I've seen other signs around St. Mary's and Calverty Counties, but I don't know who's putting those up. There was a big one at the intersection of hwy 235 and hwy 4 in California, MD, but that one was also removed a couple of weeks ago.

I also give to the campaign every payday - the 1st and 15th of every month, and I give on the money bomb days, like today.

We've just got to keep getting the word out. Don't get discouraged.
