Sounds to me like something the FEC should be notified of. That is blatant lying.

I'm trying to find a way to report this on their website and can't seem to find anything...there are some numbers on there, but definately too late to call. Someone should do this tomorrow.

I called the FCC the other day after a talk radio host gave out the website prisonplanet.com as being Ron Paul's website when a caller asked about finding out more information about him.

I was told that unless I could prove that the radio station was deliberately lying, and not just making a mistake, then it's not illegal.

Nevertheless let's just say that the radio host was flooded with Ron Paul calls for the rest of the day ;)

Report away, but I don't think you'll get anywhere with that. Every news outlet I see says the same thing.

True, but it has basically been ruled in the past that news outlets don't have to report truthfully. The point is that this is a part of another candidate's OFFICIAL CAMPAIGN, and they know damn well that it is not down to two candidates.

Does an actual campaign intentionally spreading blatant lies not go against the rules of campaigning anymore?

From what you're saying, it sounds like what Romney is doing IS illegal, because you don't really need to prove that he knows Huck and Paul are in the race, since he SAT with them on TV.

To the OP: I hope you to call the FEC as soon as you can regarding this.
