I gave a speech about how bad the Fed is at OWS... [video]

Little bit of trivia btw. I've gotten messages through the various places I've posted it that people like my speaking style. Funnily enough, my muse on public speaking is someone who, while many people on this forum like, he is pretty much a socialist. For a few years now I've considered this to pretty much be the epitome of public speaking:

If anyone wants to get into public speaking, this video is a great video to watch a few times. Ignore what he says, the important thing is how he says it. He speaks slowly, pauses after every few words to let it sink in to the crowd, and feeds on the crowds energy to escalate his tone from fairly normal to incredibly passionate in a manner of seconds. Kucinich may be a socialist, but he's one hell of a speaker. If RP was half the speaker that Kucinich was he'd probably be doing a lot better in the polls :(

The 'I'm not different' line is too funny! I needed a good laugh this morning!

That video is hilarious. I agree that the speaking format is incredibly creepy, but at the same time, there needs to be some way to amplify voices. I was pretty loud, and maybe I didn't necessarily need the repetition, but there are a lot of people who are much more soft spoken and they deserve the same chance to voice their opinions.

I hope you can take this on the road. The next two weeks or so will decide OWS's fate, I'm thinking.

Undoubtedly. And you know what? We must be there every step of the way. We must not just be at OWS, we must be at EVERY single protest or demonstration against the status quo. It can be liberal, it can be socialist, it can be anarchist, I don't care. We aren't just fighting to win an election, we're fighting a revolution, and we can use every alliance that we can get.

I like Bard, nice campus, I'm glad to know there are some libertarians there; I've always thought of Bard as an art school. I live 20 minutes away near Red Hook. I went to school down the road from you..... at Marist. PM me if you need any help neighbor.

Last time I bump this thread... I promise.

You don't happen to be the guy with the black SUV I always see parked in Red Hook with the RP and the End the Fed bumper stickers, do you?
