Damn I wish Tim would have died tomorrow. We needed that media coverage to help his recent momentum in the news. Thus getting more people to sign up. Oh well maybe I'm reading too much in to this.

Unfortunately, with Dr. Paul, they all had an agenda. "Get him" and marginalized him and malign him, etc. When I rewatched that Ron Paul and Russert, they was actually very little time spent on points of real substance after all the junk stuff took so much time.

I regret his death, but would have appreciated him more had he asked legitimate questions of Paul.

That said, I think he usually did a good job of questioing people and he could pin them down for whatever--flip-flopping, lies, etc.

I'm sad to see the man died young. But don't sugar coat what he was. He was one of the worst interviewers in the history of TV. I almost never heard him discuss issues and views. It was nearly 100 percent gotcha type crap. Almost his entire interview with Ron was gotcha type garbage. And the week before that, his interview with Rudy was exactly the same. As much as I can't stand Rudy, Russert never let him talk about any issues. Just reality tv quality garbage.

He was one of the few who didn't push his own agenda while covering the news. You have FOX on the right, MSNBC on the left, and yes Russert was on MSNBC but he was fair. Yes I realize he may have upset some of us when he called out Paul and other candidates, but he asked the questions no one else would dare. It's unfortunate that Paul wont get his coverage today, but in no way think its a conspiracy people, get your heads out of your @$$es.

They don't deserve it....Tim Russert wasn't needlessly risking his life in Iraq nor he was wasting billions of taxpayer dollars....and many more Iraqi civilians are dying than American soldiers....they're not getting any news coverage also.
