Holy fuck man I forgot how incredibly dumb a giant swath of the country is. I mean, you can reasonably represent either side of the argument. They aren't dumb because of their opinion. They are dumb because of their complete lack of any type of critical thinking skills whatsoever. Just blind patriotism, rarara... unable to evaluate anything independently. Jesus man, Maybe Rand does need to tell these imbeciles he's gonna bomb the sand nig*ers or whatever.


BTW one of them accused me of wanting to "Arm the bully". lol
 
That's partly why I lost all hope the system can be fixed, and that people like Paul can be elected and have a positive effect.

The country thinks at a 7th grade level. I discovered that when I realized Trump was communicating at that level and succeeding.

That's why many prefer the chaos that Trump can bring to destabilize the political establishment and are less hopeful about the success of well-meaning intelligent politicians.

If you think they're dumb, wait 10 to 20 years. The new generations are more stupid. Drudge reported just today that dementia is starting at an earlier age. Just one illustration the country is getting even more stupid. People will be more stupid than they're now 10 years from now, and even more stupid 20 years from now.

What they need is a lesson, that lesson is a war on the homefront, once they see a war trust me they will change forever, patriotism wont save you during a war.

Many of those people have been IN a war. Not on the homefront, but they have seen upclose what war does to a country, soldiers, and innocents. There are few more blindly "patriotic" Americans than those who fought in WWII. And they still don't learn. My father is one of them. Now, finally, at the age of 92, having seen war after war after useless war, he SOMETIMES sees the stupidity of it. But he still hates muslims and illegals and whatever is the current hate de jour on Fox news.

The baby boomers and greatest are both retarded and in denial about Social Security and the military machine bankrupting the country. They think the gov't lies to them all the time. Yet they make an exception and believe the oligarchy when it comes to chasing down islamoboogiemen.

I want a job in Canada or something. They may be socialist but at least the thievery attempts to help people instead of blowing up the debt-note supply by bombing little brown kids with cowardly drones.
 
As an oldish white guy from rural America, the assessment in this thread is probably accurate for most, but not all. The unthinking and indoctrinated probably dominate some of your youthful urban demographics as well.
 
There is no monopoly on idiocy in this country. Or world for that matter.

I like how some of the young punks like to group anyone older. Well here is my prejudice, young punks think they are aware, but are to lazy to do anything about it.
 
I think you'll find that the vast majority of people in every demographic lack critical thinking abilities. The specific type of nonsense they believe is determined by which news outlets they follow, which in turn is largely determined by which identify group they belong to (w/ different media outlets pandering to different identity groups). This is all perfectly natural, nothing new. People aren't getting dumber really, not when it comes to politics. The style of public political discourse has gotten more vulgar, but people in the past did not have any greater understanding, as far as I can tell. Go back and watch propaganda from the 30s or 40s., for instance. The grammar and vocabulary are decidedly better, yes, but the ideas being expressed are just as transparently stupid (yet, it worked, just as it does now). It might just be that the propagandists realized they were holding themselves to higher standards than were necessary to achieve their goals, and let it slide over time.
 
Remember the average IQ is around 100 so there are a lot of less than average around...
