I am going to be on Freedom Watch tonight

What an awesome segment from The Judge. He's the only one in the media I completely trust. Replace The Five with him already!

I honestly thought he would get Beck's slot since he filled in for him so much. His episodes on The Five are by far the best. Fox News should be 24 hours of of The Judge!

Edit: Dustin said he went to the 1st Tea Party in 2009...I thought there was a Tea Party before that?

Of course there was the Ron Paul Tea Party Money Bomb but the modern Tea Party movement started shortly after Obama's inauguration leading up to tax day in the spring of 2009.

I hope not... when the Tea Party first started those people knew nothing and we've slowly educated them about the Federal Reserve... the same could happen with Occupy Wall Street. As long as we allow the media to divide us we won't change the status quo. Like Ratigan said, the Tea Party and the more liberal Occupy crowd have to come together.

I resent that. The tea party started in Ron's campaign. What do you have to suggest taht those people didn't know about the fed and weren't educated? I would argue it started with more educated people and then got co opted.

The modern Tea Party really started October 2008, when a few savvy citizens started mailing tea bags to members of Congress, so as to rail against TARP. The rest is history.

Dustin - im with you on the OWS thing

I am visitng new york now, and i spoke with a couple of young protesters here. They knew almost nothing about economics (or politics for that matter) but they both said they, "liked" RP. Judging from some of the videos i've seen, his message clearly resonates with many of the young people at these rallies. I STRONGLY urge anyone who has the time to head over to the "Occupy Wall Street" protests and start educating these folks. A buddy of mine in New Orleans said MOST of the protestors there were Ron Paul supporters. Anyway, I just think WE can get control of these events and prevent the democrats from doing to OWS what the neocons did to the tea party.

I give up. This is lunacy. This is not our fight, people, and that's all I have to say. This started with the socialists chanting "we are the 99%" as if that entitled them to something from the government. The place stinks of socialism. This is not a tea party rally, and we can't go there and act like we were the champions of this thing. You wanna kiss up to them, go ahead, but don't expect them to nod their heads like freaking 2 year olds.

You guys do whatever the fuck you want and act like this is your party when it's pretty much the opposite. You can basically justify anything by finding some phony "common ground" and acting like it means this is a big tea party activist thing. It's just not.

Dude, I agree with you, I'm not endorsing the idea that you should go to these Occupy events w/ Ron Paul paraphernalia -- however if a person has time to spare there are minds that can be molded down there -- YES -- just like in the beginning of the Tea Party movement.

I've been onboard w/ Ron Paul since 2007 and we are not the Tea Party movement. We had a Tea Party themed Money Bomb but we weren't the Tea Party movement we were supporters of liberty and Ron Paul's presidential candidacy. Some Ron Pauler's need to get over this fact. The actual movement are mostly middle aged and older Republicans who got disenfranchised because of the deficits and bailouts. Most of them didn't know the crux of the problem (fiat money and the Federal Reserve) until Ron Paul (w/ our help) made the Federal Reserve and auditing it a national hot button issue in 2009.

I know because I actually went to TP rallies and they were regular people but most of them in the beginning didn't know what Monetary Policy was. Now, they still might not exactly know how the Fed works but they do know that expanding the money supply w/o audits is a bad thing and we are directing the anger in the right place.

Now we need to direct Occupy's anger in the right place. Start citing Dennis Kucinich and Alan Grayson's comments on the Fed.

Don't they want Congress to take control of the Fed, basically rearranging the deck chairs of the Titanic?

Wow! You are a pro...I am sooo jealous you got to meet the Judge. :p

The Judge is cool, I talked to him at the Amtrak Club Acela in DC, and he signed my book, Nation of Sheep that I was reading on the trip.
I actually felt a bit bad about it, because he was looking really relaxed and ready to go home.

Sorry, but if you don't think we've sparked and shaped the current Tea Party, then you weren't around for Rand Paul's primary in 2009 either.

There were previous revivals of the Tea Party in the 90's that made blips on the radar.

We've definitely made the biggest and most authentic reiteration.

True. There is so much disinformation out there. 55% of all Tea Parties want to roll back military operations overseas. Where do you think that push came from? The Tea Party is easily the most fertile ground of all the political groups.

Isn't that essentially what I just said? I whole-heartedly agree. Ron Paul (and the elected officials who have patterned themselves after him) is the intellectual godfather of the Tea Party but he is still separate from that movement. We never ran around calling ourselves Tea Partiers. Those were disenfranchised individuals who were mad as hell but knew nothing. We are the informed ones who lurked from the outside and shaped their talking points. Quite effectively I might add. The Tea Party still has plenty of rough edges but it's amazing what we were able to do.

I think the same could happen for Occupy if we we're as sly with our phrasing of the issues as Rand is with the Neo-cons. Just sayin'!

Let's just not forget we're all on the same side here on these forums. I'm still working to get Ron elected in the REPUBLICAN primary in the short term (appealing to social conservatives and the like). Long term though these Occupy protests could be beneficial if we co-opt them early. Again go w/o your Ron Paul gear. Don't make it partisan or political. Coalition building baby!

Agree... learn from Rand, messaging is the key.

OWS hates the banks... they just dont get that the fed = banks. You can't even say 'fed'. You have to spell it out for them. lol

Use words like banks and wars and they'll follow you right to the Feds doorstep. :)

So any interesting conversations/scoldings with the Judge, Sal, producers, camera monkeys?

Judge just told me what I already knew that his show is our voice and liberty lovers will always have a place with him if no where else in the media. The producers loved my jab at Sal... As for Sal himself -- I'm pretty sure he still doesn't know that I dissed him.
