I am a Vegan, Bike Riding, Peace lovin'...

Oh I saw the other day in a profile that Paul's hobby is organic gardening(specifically tomatoes)

tomacco? right on!

i'm not really any of the above. still think it's a great post. i don't have anything against anybody.

Hippies teaming up with Conservatives and Republicans....Wonder what that says?

heh, i don't think anyone would consider me a hippie. vegan, yea. a little too east coast to be a hippie though.

but see, that's the thing - we're all together in this. the conservatives among us need to make this nomination thing happen... and then together with the rest of us we'll take care of the general election.

Ron Paul supporter.

Kucinich is and always will be a hero of mine for any number of reasons. He's honest. He's hard working. He's for the people. He's for peace.

The simple fact that he was vegan told me almost everything I needed to know - he had respect and love for all life. That's important to me.

Now, on these boards you're going to find a lot of people you don't agree with. The word 'socialist' gets thrown around like a knife here. Remember, though, that this is the beauty of freedom, and the beauty of the unifying power of Ron Paul's message.

Odds are, you won't agree with everything Ron Paul says. But before you dismiss him, research his views on a topic. I highly recommend some of his interviews from the 80's. It will open your eyes, I promise you. For example, he's been denouncing the racism embedded within the War On Drugs for decades.

Ron Paul, like Dennis Kucinich, is an honest man. He's pro-peace, pro-freedom.

And he is the only candidate left that will end this war, that will restore our freedoms and civil liberties, that will end our empire, that will free those unjustly imprisoned (non-violent drug offenders), that will stand up for your right to believe whatever you want to believe - even if he doesn't agree with it.

When researching his voting record, please remember that he is a strict constitutionalist. His yea or nea vote does not necessarily reflect his own opinion on a matter, or what would be popular, but instead what is legal in the constitution - a document thats central purpose was (and is) to protect us from tyranny (and look around...).

This is why you will hit speed bumps during your research - why DID he vote against a medal for Rosa Parks?! But then you'll learn that he considers her a hero of civil disobedience and offered to pay $100 towards the cost of the medal out of his own pocket... but the rest of the pols voted to spend our money instead.

It is this commitment to principle that is so absolutely rare in politics today that make him worthy of being president - and we do need him desperately.

So please, research him. Watch his interviews and speeches. Read his positions. And if you have any questions, please feel free to PM me.

Peace.

You SIR are a great American. You renew my faith in Ron Paul supporters. :) Kudo's x10000

i.e. my faith in Ron Paul never dimmed, but being on here for a month... the scary side of supporting Ron Paul has come to light.

Hehe... Dr. Paul eats salads and chocolate chip cookies! Not sure if that's his exclusive diet, but that's all I've heard of :D

I'm kinda a vegetarian at heart, but not in practice. I'm cheap, and lazy, so that kind of diet would be hard for me to uphold - but if I think about where meat comes from it makes me rather ill :o

I was sad to hear Kucinich go, he was my second choice after Paul. Not to sound artifical but I am also a bike riding peace loving...Ovo-Lacto Vegetarian

I can only hope that there are also some Kucinich people will to look at Pauls
pro-peace stance and basic love of freedom.

This is really heart warming. The main reason I am a Libertarian is becuase of my views on live and let live. It's the let live part that people have trouble with. I have no problem with vegans. But when some vegans try using the force of government to force their views on me I have a problem. I am Catholic. But when politicians use the force of government to force Christian views of sexual morality on other people I have a problem. If we all can learn to tolerate behavior we find disturbing as long as it is non-violent we will find out we have a lot more in common.

One other think for Kucinich Supporters. I know the libertarian economic message can seem scary and uncaring. As you read through here I hope you realize we care about the poor and those with health problems just as much as you do. We just differ on how to fix it. I don't want to sound insulting but I don't see how you can trust the same government that started the Iraq War, arrived a in New Orleans after Katrina, and the War on Drugs with healthcare and helping the poor. Again one thing to realize is that for many of us we are just talking about the Federal Government's role. State governments can do mostly what they want. The benefit is that the state governments are much closer to the people. Put it this way how many times do you hear on the National News how the federal government is improving things in Montana or Ohio? Never. So if more control is at the state those local news outlets can be much more focused on your particular problems.

Anyway enough of a rant. Nice to have you here. Just know that Ron Paul is the only one that will change the foreign policy. He won't be able to make the economic changes you fear without Congress so we can save that discussion for another day.

Peace...

Kucinich was the only one on the Democrat side not full of B.S. - like somebody else we know on the Republican side.

And like somebody else, the MSM tried, for different reasons, labeling him a "nut" because he claimed he'd seen a UFO.

Hell, Jimmy Carter while in office said he saw a UFO.

Nobody says Jimmy Carter's nuts and 14% of American's claim they have seen a UFO and 50% or more believe in UFO's and that they're of extraterrestrial origin.

So when you take these facts into account; that brush they painted DK with was absolutely ludicrous.

Hey there- nice to have you! While im not vegan or vegetarian, I respect your choice. I am a supporter of the Genotype diet (dont flame me bro ;), and feel for some people, a more vegetarian lifestyle makes sense and has some science behind it to boot, but since I am a type "O" Hunter, i need my meat ;).... Anyhow, your welcome here! My husband and I both really always enjoy and respect Kucinich, his views and some similarities to Dr. Paul. ps- I never knew what nutritional yeast was, until it was mentioned as a "beneficial food" for me. I still haven't tried it, sounds really icky.

Hah - it sounds TERRIBLE. It's like it won the award for 'worst health food name ever', losing out by a hair to 'hummus' and 'tofu'. I know. But it's actually quite yummy - I highly recommend trying it on toast or a bagel. My love was scared to death of it (despite being vegan herself) until she finally took a bite of my toast. Now she loves it more than I do. Some people also like to put it on their pasta (not me).

I am a conservative, meat eating, non drug using, pro life, christian, pickup driving, confederate flag toting, south loving man (some say redneck lol) and I would gladly call you pro choice, liberal, vegan, athiest, hybrid driving, sometimes drug using folks my friends and brother and sister in liberty any day over these other idiots we have running the country. Before all of this I NEVER in a million years would have guessed I would have so much in common with you guys but I do and I thank God for showing me how to fight a revolution even with those I do not always agree with :-)

GROUP HUG FOR RON PAUL :D

I'm a anarcho-Libertarian, vegetarian, Christian, Confederate flag and Betsy Ross flag waiving, against drugs, pro-life, gun owner. Loved Kucinich and Ron Paul and love the Paul supporters looking into decentralist politics and "Beyond Left and Right" (google it) politics. I support the educated Paleo-Left just as I would the Paleo-Conservative Right and realise both have been hijacked.

"The new politics of America is liberty from the NWO Police State and nothing more....The New American Patriot will be neither left nor right, just a freeman fighting for liberty. New alliances will form between those who have in the past thought of themselves as 'right-wingers,' conservatives and patriots, with those who have thought of themselves as 'left-wingers,' progressives, or just 'liberal.'

A new dawn is breaking upon the American political scene. The old words of divide and conquer will come to mean less and less to thinking people. There will be no meaningful differences between those who want freedom. But rather, just "Americans" who want to be free and are fighting the Police State to gain that freedom.

Wake up and smell the tear gas, freedom is calling its sons and daughters.("Neither Left Nor Right" - Louis Beam)
