We had 8 people show up for our precinct and we needed to elect 2 delegates and 2 alternates to go to the county caucus March 1 where we will elect some to go to the state caucus. In our presidential preference straw poll we had:

Paul - 6
McCain - 1
Huckabee - 1
Romney - 0

Both delegates and alternates are all RP supporters.

At a table next to ours, the results were something like:

Paul - 2
McCain - 5
Huckabee - 4
Romney - 0

But the 2 main delegates are the 2 Paul supporters. :)

We had 17 total precincts, but I am not sure how the other 15 turned out (I heard that another table had 2 RP supporters as the delegates too, so that is at least 6 out of 34 confirmed. And I am sure there were more, but I had to leave as my daughter was getting fussy)

Good news. Thanks for the update. Thanks for the good news update!

My precinct was a bit ugly re the straw poll:

Romney - 10
Paul - 2
McCain - 2
Huck - 1

But I'm one of the two delegates and the precinct captain now.

Im in lake county precinct 3 , the straw poll went 4 romney 4 mccain 2 ron paul 1 huckabee.

im a precinct captain and election judge and im 1 delegate out of 5 in our precinct to go to the county.

I'm very saddened in the republican party. Can someone please tell me again how we win a brokered convention???

the gop has written off ron paul ,THIS IS A FACT. I'm very upset and truly dont understand how the gop thinks they are gonna win with romney mccain. I can give my opinion. They think they are right, so be it.

Hi,
Our straw poll was

Romney 10
Ron Paul 4
Mccain 3
Huckabee 1

Had 3 people come up afterwards to ask question about Dr. Paul. They were very interested and said he sounded like a good man and someone they would take a serious look at now. I gave a speech but with 6 very large precincts holding business in a gym it was very hard to be heard. Had one man ask about Dr. Paul's electability. Disappointing because 3 of the people that were going with us backed out because of cold weather. I am happy though to at least have made a few people think about it. Very disorganized in my opinion on how things are ran.

1. Don't lose your heart
2. We have to get Dr. Paul an opportunity to speak to the GOP at the convention after the first round has passed, and delegates start to unbind.

Look dude, we need them right now. Suck it up for the goal. Dr. Paul has put up with their BS and shenanigans for decades, and he's still willing to fight for us, when he'd probably rather be in Texas, riding his bike and spending time with his family.

Suck it up, and do Dr. Paul proud.

Great job in CO btw. You should be proud of yourself.

From my precinct in Fort Collins:

Straw Poll vote:

Romney 32
Ron Paul 12
Hucabee 5
McCain 1

We had one State Delegate elected and she is a Romney fan.
A Ron Paul supporter got the 4th Congressional district delegate spot, which is the automatic alternate to the State delegate spot.

In 2006 only one person showed up for the caucus.

I am disappointed with the way the country is going as well. As many of our European friends so fondly refer to us.... "Stupid Americans."

But the one thing our county paper pointed out this AM "Although the "presidential preference poll" numbers generated at Tuesday night's caucuses are reported as numbers of votes, the actual delegates to the respective national conventions are not bound to vote for any particular candidate."

Our county totals...

Mitt Romney 122
John McCain 88
Ron Paul 27
Mike Huckabee 8

I am surprised that 2 tables both had 0 votes for Mitt, yet he still won the room.
