Huge RP Signs to hang in Worcester, MA Need input on the message. Bring ideas.

I looked but I can't find the thread made this year. It has all sorts of sign slogans/ phrases--really good ideas too. Does anyone else know which thread I'm talking about?

In that vein, how about:

He will close 'Gitmo.

He will bring the troops home from Iraq.

He will stop the drone strikes.

We will not be fooled again!

NO ONE BUT RON PAUL!!!

How about make that action oriented?:

Close Gitmo.
Bring the troops home.
Stop the drone strikes.
Don't be fooled again.
NO ONE BUT RON PAUL!!!

How about make that action oriented?:

Close Gitmo.
Bring the troops home.
Stop the drone strikes.
Don't be fooled again.
NO ONE BUT RON PAUL!!!

I would take it one step further and say "Vote Ron Paul" at the end instead of "No one but Ron Paul".

Ron Paul 2012 Republican Primary

This is MA, I cant tell you how easy it has been to convince left leaning people to vote for RP in primary.

I'm close and have a few friends that would be down for sure if any help is needed...Send me a message....

I like this

I was actually thinking about a good, edgy sign slogan today. I really like this one:

---

Your Choices for the Republican Primary:

Ron Paul (check mark)
or
The Status Quo (X)(include headshots of Romney and Perry)

Do the right thing.

I drive on 290 all of the time. I see a campaign for liberty sign on a building and im assuming thats the same building. Great location!!! It would be great to throw a huge sign. I would suggest simply " stop killing brown people at the disposal of our young men and women. Vote ron paul in the republican primary!". Im joking but an anti war message would help. Civil liberties are big too here. People dont care about taxes you have to hit the personal and human rights!

If the goal is solely to promote Ron Paul's candidacy then leave the "edgy" political activist stuff out of it. Just go with the standard "Hope for America" type thing.

I cannot second this enough!!! We have got to address the broader audience. This should not be designed to target current supporters. We have got to lift our sites beyond our own scope and see the broader picture. In crafting a message we have must consider the target audience to get the best results. If Ron Paul is somewhere around 10% in the polls we have got to consider that 90% we are missing. Imagine the people sitting in their cars and the nearby office buildings. What are their concerns... what are their needs... what message do we need to present that will gain their support and vote.

There is an old saying... "can't see the forest for the trees". The message needs to reach beyond the trees and, indeed, even beyond the Liberty Forest... because the "electoral forest" is much larger. We need the message to speak in a vernacular that addresses the much larger forest... that of the entire electorate.

This will be critical for these banners... it is also essential for all campaign and grassroots efforts. In reaching the voting populace only a carefully crafted message will result in an election victory. The message needs to be simple, direct and speak to the wants and needs of the target audience... we have to reach the other 90%.

When specifications for this banner are available I will submit specific ideas for review

My two cents: If you're just doing text, having it professionally made is a waste. Even for our banners, which were made assembly style back to back, people asked me "Where'd you get those made" or "How much did you pay for those?" because from the road they could not tell they were handmade. And I think it gives a better feel to those who can tell (ie, grassroots not the campaign or some rich donor). You should be able to do a full billboard for $100 + labor, with lots of material left over for others to use. It's also an activity that really energizes our base; you'll have people begging for those scraps and organizing other events. Lastly, you could change out the banners regularly so commuters receive a handful of messages before the primary. The last one can urge them to register/vote etc.

If you're doing complex graphics, how about "CUT THE WARS, UNITE THE PEOPLE" above a picture of an unconscious lady liberty or uncle sam on an operating table with smocked RP applying bandages followed by "SAVE AMERICA (or US, THE PATIENT, whatever), RON PAUL 2012"?

Please choose one of the below:

[ ] Candidate A - Endless Wars
[ ] Candidate B - Corporate Bailouts and a Ruined Economy
[X] Candidate C - Ron Paul

Great suggestions so far. If you want edgy and controversy make the banner a dig against Obama in some way while promoting Ron.

"Get Government off your back, out of your pocket, out of your bedroom, and out of the middle east. Vote Ron Paul."

HAD ENOUGH?
GOOGLE RON PAUL

IN A TIME OF UNIVERSAL DECEIT TELLING THE TRUTH IS A TREASONOUS ACT-- GEORGE ORWELL
START A REVOLUTION!
RON PAUL

TIRED OF THE ESTABLISHMENT TOYING WITH YOUR FUTURE?
FIGHT BACK!
RON PAUL

HEY ESTABLISHMENT
WE HAVE YOU GREATLY OUTNUMBERED
RON PAUL

A NATION OF LAWS AND FAIRNESS
NOT A KLEPTOCRACY
RON PAUL

END THE FED
KILL THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENT
FREE THE PEOPLE
IMPRISON THE BANKSTERS
RON PAUL

Keep it short. I just watched the video of the Ron Paul plane in this thread, but couldn't quite read the whole message, which was kind of annoying.

How about individual letters that could be easily changed to make a new message every (few) day(s) so people who drive that way every day get to follow along?

This is for the primary, right? Do you really want to have anti-war slogans for war-loving Republicans?

And the freedom, constitution stuff means nothing to most people.

Without education, most people don't get Ron Paul.

You're not going to educate much in a few words.

I think the goal should be to get people to research him.

Since people resist being told what to do, try reverse psychology.

How about:

IGNORE RON PAUL!

or

DO NOT GOOGLE RON PAUL!

or

SUPPORT THE MEDIA BLACKOUT OF RON PAUL!

The last one would be good for starting some controversy in the area as to why he's being ignored, which might result in a news piece, which would give him more attention.

How about starting out with a question....

ARE WE PEOPLE OR SHEEPLE?

And then later change it to....

PEOPLE VOTE RON PAUL
