“So they run up huge deficits … but they’ve pushed those costs down to the states, and the states have to eat it, because they have to balance their budgets, they don’t get to print money or borrow."

You guys think Paul got to him?

(Yes, I know I put this in a post in another thread, but I thought this deserved its own thread.)

When someone else is right, it doesn't mean "Ron Paul" got to them. Not that it's impossible though...

But I doubt Huckabee is a fiscal conservative anyway.

Huckabee. He's kind of like that friend we all have who steals your funny jokes and then says them to other people behind your back. And you know half the time he doesn't really even get the jokes! He just knows people think they're funny. So he uses them.

I don't think RP got to him in the way you're hoping. RP might have educated him about the monetary system but Hucksters is still a socialist. Otherwise he wouldn't be taking such a statist position.

lol :D So true. Huckaboooo has been talking about abolishing the IRS and implementing a Fair Tax. Now he accuses the FED of printing off money. HE only said these things after Ron Paul did. Huck doesnt get economics at all.

This is good news that someone with more credibility in most political circles than Ron Paul is talking about this issue. Ron Paul has done his job well. Hopefully it continues to pick up steam!

When you say 'more credibility', by what do you mean?

It's just a fact that Huckabee is more well known throughout the U.S. than Paul, he has victories in primaries, and is being considered for a VP spot. Paul has no victories and wouldn't be asked to be McCain's VP if Paul and Hillary were the only two options. Certainly we all know Paul has the better stances on the issues, but Huckabee is viewed by the mainstream as someone who made a name for himself and had an impact on the election by winning Iowa and some other southern states. I'm just being honest.
