Maybe I had a brain fart, but where in there did it say he may skip the straw poll?

Granted, he hasn't said for sure he's running, and if he doesn't run, then he would skip it. But I assume that if he's running, he'll actively work to win the straw poll.

IIRC, it wasn't huckabee that organized support for it, it was the fairtax people that bussed in supporters for him to the straw poll.

However i will point out that there is nothing false about my topic.....he may or may not participate in the straw poll......

How do I bet on Intrade? There is no earthly way Huckabee is running - - the list of reasons are compelling. He doesn't want to run, and for excellent reasons.

Just two quick reasons -- didn't he free a guy from prison that later killed four cops? That isn't going to fly, if it's true. Then there is his absolute defense of Fairtax, which is now coming apart at the seams, being exposed as baloney (but it sounds nice). These kinds of things really show his lack of judgment, and the other candidates will capitalize on them.

I really hope you're right but I'm not as optimistic that he won't run. Politicians showing lack of judgment has never stopped them from being elected before, and I think Huckabee's ego might be too big to pass up this opportunity (especially if he somehow remains near the top in national polls). IMO policy-wise he is probably the worse out of the major GOP contenders, in many ways even worse than Obama.

However polling also indicates that many of his supporters trend toward Ron as a second choice...which logically doesn't make any sense but that's fine with me!
