Once the other "candidates" started hearing how much support and attention Doc Paul was getting they started peppering their stuff with his speeches. In one way its good that he's shifting the debate, but since they don't understand it and won't honor it, it will only matter if it helps a Ron Paul victory.
For instance, Thursday night McCain mentioned the repeal of Sarbanes-Oxley. Funny how that was also in Ron Paul's Prescription for Prosperity which was released just that day. Now, I haven't studied McCain's ideas much but I'll eat my hat if he ever mentioned it before or after the Florida debate, and I doubt very much its on his website. Sarbanes-Oxley is so far off the radar of most people who don't deal with it (I studied it for my recently completed BA) that I seriously doubt McCain even has a clue that he voted for it.
