Huckabee is Mathematically Eliminated

You do realize that in a 4-man race, all four candidates may be "mathematically eliminated", right?

Yeah, but it's not exactly a four man race right now, is it?

Look, if we're kingmaker from fourth place, that means third place and second place are kingmakers TOO.

Best we get is a VP position.

Mathematically Ron Paul would be eliminated by that logic, also mathematically Mccain would need to win every state from here through Texas and he still wouldn't have 1191 So yea I beleive there will be a brokered convention. Which means any candidate with delegates can attend.

Nope.

You still have to demonstrate five states majorities of delegates to get on the roll call.

Despite the straw poll results, the verdict may not be out on that yet. When are state conventions for IA, NV, ME, AK, CO, and ND?

That's the tough one right now in addition to other challenges.

And even IF we get on the role call.. remember, if WE are in fourth place and can Kingmake, then 1st and 2nd can.. so can 1st and 3rd. So can, possibly, 2nd and 3rd.

And we've not exactly been in good relations with the other campaigns up until the WV thing.

Again...

Run the campaign as if we're already running in the general election. Because, in a sense, we are.

Obama's going to win the Dem nomination. And McCain most likely will make a late deal at the convention with Huckabee to secure the nomination over Romney.

Realistically, both now and later, Paul is really running against Obama and McCain. So WHY wait to campaign that way?

Set the issues out that way NOW. Get people thinking about this set of choices for the direction of the country for the next 4 years NOW. Cast the general election as a 3 way race NOW.

Contronting Americans with this scenario will be very provocative, and compelling. The vast majority will say "Hmm... this IS what we're looking at".

Up until now, the final outcome has been alot of speculation, so people have favored their candidate of choice. But now the table is set for the EndGame... and we can see what the true probabilities are. So there's an opportunity to redefine the race.

So far we haven't campaigned against Obama. By doing so, and how Obama will beat McCain... we change the perception.

No.

We buy TV time and look like a professional candidate like everyone else, instead of the "mob mentality bunch of punk ass kids on the net" that we CURRENTLY look like.

Going after Obama alienates the youth voters who are falling all over him. They _WANT_ Obama to beat McCain. They'd be THRILLED if Obama beat McCain.

Look, if you want to know who wins this election, look at the fact that Democratic turnout has been higher than Republican turnout in EVERY SINGLE PRIMARY. Sometimes, this difference is almost double.. or more. Paul wins by getting the open primary delegates to go for him instead of Obama.

Huckaboo on Mad money right now..

LOL

Yeah, hilarious.

It's so funny that other candidates get on TV while ours doesn't even use TV commercials or return phone calls to producers who want so badly to get him on.

*sighs* This is just so frustrating. Our candidate seems like he's trapped in some bizarro 1950s world.

I just did the math and Huckabee has been mathematically eliminated! We need to tell everyone and I mean everyone! This is huge and Huckabee can't justify staying in the race anymore. There are only 963 delegates left in this race and Huckabee has 176. In order to win the nomination, you need at least 1,191 delegates and if Huckabee wins EVERY SINGLE DELEGATE LEFT, he will end up with 1,139. Game over Huckabee! Spread the word!

Ah, wouldn't that be letting everyone in on the secret? The "secret" being that Ron Paul also is eliminated from any chance of getting the nomination.

I know there still are some Paultards who recently have learned the word "brokered convention" and who think this might actually occur....but, well, that ALWAYS was nonsense.

It's time to go the independent/third party route. And, anyone who wants our platform needs to write Paul now and tell him that.

Or, how can you suggest that Huckabee is OUT, but Paul still is in?

MORE SO than Huckabee, Paul is mathematically incapable of gaining the nomination.

I'm sure Ron's a very busy man right now, but heh, the campaign staff has been pretty amateurish.

And John McCain is not a natural born US citizen.... so.. he does not meet the qualifications to be president.

Here is how it will play out.

Conservatives are banking on Romney.

They can’t stomach McCain. If it comes down to it and Romney can’t take McCain, he will need to bow out and he will have to pledge his delegates to Paul, the only other conservative in the race.

This act will attract other delegates from both McCain and Hucky.

Paul wins and McCain loses.

This qualifies as the most ironic, incredible, fantistic...STUPID thread on the face of the planet. It's impossible for Huck to win--BUT WE CAN??!! Wow. The "GOP before the Whitehouse" trolls, as devoid of hope as they are, are the most irrationally faithful, blind people in the universe. Huckabee has won tons of states and delegates! We have won basically nothing IN THE GOP (truly)!

So don't give up like these GOP idolaters. Fight for Ron Paul...support him going iNDY! See my sig!

The only way to utilize the extremely powerful precinct captain system is to go iNDY. Then we can work in all 50 states instead of only the half that are left. And we can get real support (from outside the GOP). And we will have 8 months to do it.

Stop with the indy crap. If Paul decides to do that I will back him, but he has very good reason not to. First of all you will still get the "I am not going to wast my vote" bull crap from a ton of people who think an independent will never be able to win anyway. Second, a brokered convention may still be a possibility and our best shot. If that fails then we can think about independent. But until one of those things happens please give this crap a rest. Please!

1. A brokered convention is not going to happen.

2. Canvassing is done for in half the states as of now, unless he goes iNDY. If he goes iNDY, on the other hand, we would have 8 months to canvass and get 200,000 plus precinct captains.

3. ...:

my dad said he'd donate another 500 to Paul (IF he announces 3rd party) (he donated 200 on Dec. 16th--but that was when it seemed like he REALLY could maybe, possibly win the Nom. I would donate 500 the day he declares (even though it will hurt financially), whereas I can't afford to give anymore (I gave just over a 1,100 in Q4 to the cause--so shut up) for his Republican run; and gramps would probably wager another 1776.00

The 2nd and 3rd tier, broader-base of supporters aren't (many or most of them) going to donate MORE--if they already have once--because TO THEM it is obvious or at least nearly certain that he's not going to get the Nom from the Republican party (I'm not saying I believe that--but they DO). However, they would be very willing and enthusiastic about supporting him in an iNDEPENDENT run.

QFT. Funniest thread ever posted. But it illustrates perfectly the idiocy of all these "GOP more important than Paul in the Whitehouse" folks
