For any statist-goon peeping into the forum, these are only suggestions for "freedom", because, as we all know, it would be illegal to actually do such things!

So, how would you live free in your day to day life?

Barter?
Cash deals?
Spray-your-plate?
Give totally asanine answers on the census?
Make use of the gun-show "loophole"?

Pay my taxes, raise an American flag, turn in my neighbors' guns to ensure they aren't used against the gov't or fellow citizens, and other such stuff to assist the Great State in securing my freedoms.

Barter.

Avoid income like aids, herpes, and VD.

Refuse to consent to an adhesion contract just to get a plastic card in my pocket & a metal tag on my mode of travel.

Avoid the use of insurance and practice property bonds instead.

Refuse to participate in the census based on the statutes outlined in 2 Samuel 24:15, 1 Chronicles 21:1, and Acts 5:29. Exclusion clause based on these grounds is found in the US Code, Title 13, Ch 7, Subchapter II, SS 221(c).

Collect "antique" firearms.

lots of "polling" and data mining going on around here methinks.

I'd never considered property bonds!
Tell me more. At a glance, I'd think, what if, by a fluke, you are responsible for a wreck? Wouldn't your property be offered up as compensation?

You'll have to go down that road yourself <grin>. I practice strict liability, rather than limited liability. I am absolutely responsible for all damage I cause.

I first thought that this thread was about "how would you live your life if you were truly free".

As for the other thing..."some people say" that if you invest in metals at kitco.com they don't keep records or report any earnings you might receive to the IRS. Of course, being the good citizen that I am, I report all income...even if I find it on the ground or sell a chair on craigslist.

Also, "some people say" that there's a way to have a summer house that you rent out to friends once a year that will help with your taxes.

Yes, if more and more people actually did more than just theorize about these kinds of things, the state would steadily decrease in power and influence.

When I was a teenager, my favorite form of silent protest was drinking wine with dinner...but now that I'm 25, I have to find some new way to stick it to the man!

I would save up until I had a good stash of funds and owned property driven by solar/wind energy as well as solar/wind energy transportation. At that point I'd probably spend my time traveling up and down the coast, camping and surfing and meeting up with old friends.

Definitely would have a greenhouse with medicinal cannabis and growing hemp and other food outdoors. I'd have my garden setup so I could leave for weeks at a time.

I've considered stocking up on enough cash to live comfortably, pay off my house, build an electric car, have all of my electricity run by solar and become self sufficient...

And then go on the government dole as a welfare king...work toward taking back every penny that I've put into the system.

A quick search (a study done in 1996) showed that a single mother with two kids could make the equivalent of someone making $36,000 a year on the welfare system.

I'd love to take a few years off from work to tinker with some invention ideas I've had over the years (and probably keep them to myself, not sharing it with a corrupt system).

I'd re-open my family's farm and grow crops. All crops, including hemp and ganga.
I'd live my life in peace.
