How To Run Our Own Schiff TV Ads

I'm an internet marketer, and while I'd be happy to give my services to Peter for free, campaigns never gets back to me, even when I offer to take two weeks off work and help them canvass.

There's a way that we can absolutely riddle Connecticut with TV ads. We can put localized, cheap TV spots on just about any late night or Sunday afternoon local TV show. Imagine all the local shows in CT seeing spots for Peter Schiff at every break. Or a negative ad towards Linda at every break.

I'm not lawyer, so I don't know the legalities of doing so, but we can upload our own TV spots to Google TV for pennies.

This video explains more: http://slatev.com/video/http://slatev.com/video/how-i-ran-ad-fox-news

Just ponder the power of getting together and doing a TV bomb shortly after the phone bank bomb.

Start by forming a 527 for the purpose. Don't talk to the campaign at all about it. The second your group and the campaign do any coordination together, it becomes illegal.

But if people have money for this, then why not just donate that money to the campaign itself, and let them use it however they think is best, and in such a way where all the money they spend is spent in a coordinated centrally planned way? If they decide that such ads fit into their plan then so be it, but if they decide there is a better way to spend that money, so be it.

Or are you thinking of something for people who are already maxed out to the official campaign to donate additional money?

Legaly, could foreigner participate ? Peter has a lot of foreign supporters (like me) who cannot donate to his campaign. That would be a way to participate.

I think so, just make sure you send it along with a couple bogies.

Right, this would be a way for everyone to participate and contribute to the campaign, and we can say things that Peter can't, or wouldn't be popular to say. Furthermore, we've all seen some knockout videos that we think Peter should run, but he hasn't - we could do it this way.

I really like this idea as well, and I am maxed out in campaign donations.

If this takes off, I'll gladly offer my full professional services towards the commercials (recording/ADR, sound mixing, and post-production mastering).

ok anyone got some good clips of linda? there must be loads of clips we can use to show people her true colors?

"While Linda McMahon was busy promoting violence and exploiting women (insert clips of WWE), Peter Schiff was sounding the economic alarm (insert clips from Peter Schiff was right). Who do YOU want serving in the United States Senate?"

There you go. Easy to make, and could be up and running tomorrow.

Just got off the phone with somebody in the campaign - we're going over the legalities of doing something like this.

I'm about 99% sure you can't target certain DMAs in Google TV. You either buy the whole country or nothing.

Regardless, you could easily start purchasing TV time through local affiliates. Requires a phone call and some hardline negotiating, but still a piece of cake.

That should make a convincing ad, I hope you all get get it together!

this!

There might be a copyright issue, I'm not sure WWE would be happy to see their clips used against mcmahon.

maybe it can be considered fair use?

Copyright ‘fair use’
The “fair use” of another’s copyright material means that, depending on your particular situation, you can sometimes use a part of another’s copyrighted material in your own work without permission from the owner. You may fairly use another’s copyrighted material provided that your work essentially transforms the copyrighted material into something original and creative, such as a parody, satire, or political statement.

Fair use. A person running for political office used 15 seconds of his opponent's campaign song in a political ad. Important factors: A small portion of the song was used and the purpose was for purposes of political debate. (Keep Thomson Governor Comm. v. Citizens for Gallen Comm., 457 F. Supp. 957 (D. N.H. 1978).)

I think the best thing to do would be to portray McMahon as a phoney.

She's connected to the Democratic party, is willing to spend $50 million in a Senate race, and every word she says seems to be coming off of a script. How can anyone take her as being sincere?
