How to Convert a Die-hard Huck Supporter?

He's a good friend of mine. Very politically active. Very politically intelligent. Die-hard Huck supporter.

I've been working on him for months; I thought he was a lost cause until tonight. To my surprise, he told me tonight that he thought that RP was the best in every category EXCEPT the war/foreign policy.

That, for him, is a huge, huge, HUGE deal-breaker.

Help Me! I need some ammo. This guy would be great to have on our side.

IF he's a Christian...ask him why he thinks we should invade other countries. If he says that Sadam was a bad guy and was doing bad things and we should help the Iraqis out then: ask him if he thought it was ok for another country to invade the US because we do bad things. When he says huh? Tell him that since we have abortion on demand since 1973 there has been 43 million abortions. In his eyes that is bad and he will be left either accepting a contradiction in his system or acknowleding that maybe we shouldn't invade other countries.

Now granted, this line of reasoning will be offensive to many on the board and I hope you know that isn't my intention. This logic WILL work on a Christian interventionist. I've seen it back many a Christian down and reconsider their foreign policy.

Show him the Documentary from Freedom to fascism, tell him there are bigger things to worry about like the imminent collapse of the dollar. RP is the only one talking about these things. Our foreign policy wont mater a lick if we don't have any capital in the world markets.


I kind of like RP house of cards.. but its a little dramatic for converting other diehards.

Huckabee is simply not someone that can be trusted. Remember the ad with the cross in the background? Yeah, I didn't think it was a big deal either, but what got me was how he tried to lie and say it was purely an accident that it looked like that. Holding a press conference to say enough is enough with the negative ads, then SHOWING the ad? I know these may not seem like a big deal but it clear to me that this guy is just full of BS and I can't stand people like that.

If he is a Christian, give him Dr. Paul's statement of faith. Give them the youtube of Dr. Paul's speech at the right to life convention. Both of these converted several people I know.

Also point out that a lot of Huck's policies are from the liberal side of the fence. Fred Thompson was right when he called him a "pro-life liberal." Most people won't go for that.

Huckabee is a pro-war, tax-hiking, big government and now world government establishment candidate (CFR).

Despite being a good speaker and charismatic , his political ideologies are completely different than Ron's and he is JUST ANOTHER candidate. IE, a vote for Huckabee represents no real changes in America especially in regards to foreign policy.

Also as a Christian it turned me off that he would appear on Kenneth Copeland and Hagen's TV Shows...Again, if you are a Christian and into those guys we can save the theological discussion for offline but for many Christians they are considered chief of charlatans and espouse heretical doctrines.
