How to campaign at a supermarket?

I work at a supermarket and 40% of the time i'm cashiering, a lot of people come to the store, probably one of the busiest in New Jersey. What can I do to convert people to Paul supporters? I try to get into talks about politics, but people won't tell me who they are voting for or if they are voting at all. Should I put a little Ron Paul ad at my register?

Wear a huge badge that says "I LOVE RON PAUL - Please ask me why!"

wear an "i voted for ron paul!" sticker.

1) makes then freak out and think they missed the election
2) makes them ask about who this ron paul person is

My guess is some non ron paul supporter will eventually complain to your boss and you will need to remove it.

A friend of mine worked as a cashier. Cashier have these little special markers they mark money to check if it's counterfeit. If it turns up brown, it's real, if it turns up black or gray it's counterfeit and the cashier can not take the money. They are supposed to mark anything $50 and higher, so $50 and $100 bills.

Well, most cashier's just make a small mark on the bills, but my friend was using the marker to write RonPaul2008.com on all the bills.

He got fired.

I would avoid standing outside with a clipboard. I myself try to avoid those guys out of first instinct!

i'm a cashier.

from june-july I stamped a little over 1,500 bills.

I made sure they were the first ones out of my register so I wouldn't get bitched out and or fired.

If a slim jim is too big to do discretely then one of those little business card size one could work.

If your grocery store has a bulletin board in the entry way, tack up a couple of slim jims and some Ron Paul dvd's. Refill when needed. Park your car in a highly visible area with a Ron Paul signs in the windows.

I used to walk through the aisles and I'd stick slim jims in the empty clear plastic price tag holders that are affixed to the edges of the shelves. I wouldn't suggest doing that as an employee though.
