Hello, I know this is my first post my name is Josh

Sorry if this has already been brought up.

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong category.

For Ron Paul to get more votes, he just cannot speak and tell everybody what is wrong with the country.

Like how he says we need to reimplement a kind-of gold standard.

When you tell that to the average person they will be like.

"Okay that is a good idea; How would you do it?"

This is the part where people get turned away from Paul.

I have heard and watched a lot about RP. He explained that you could not just go back to a gold standard and that you would have to use assests and other things.
That is a start.

How are you going to go about and put this plan into action?

I am voting for RP and I think at least a few more people would if RP could just explain these things.

Tell me what you think on this subject?

When most people hear Ron Paul talk about the gold standard thay think to themselves, "what is he talking about?"

He needs to address current problems and then apply his answers. The problem and the answer must be provided together.

yeah, esp. since many people think we're still on the gold standard. Both my brothers, my boss, some of my co workers, and others i've converted didn't even know this!

I understand why truthers should refrain from displaying anything related to 911 truth...

I'd just like Ron to address it in a manner more becoming of his message. The founders certainly encouraged the people not to trust government. There are many ways that Ron could gain ever greater support by paying compliments to the truth movement and still maintain his personal opinion. Let it be known that it is a healthy thing for Americans to keep a close eye on 'WE THE PEOPLE'S' public servants!!! It's not gonna hurt anyone's feeling's by stating that the truth about what happened on 911 is of the utmost importance for the security of the nation, it doesn't hurt to have more than one 'team' investigating what many consider the worst crime ever committed on American soil. Besides that, 911 truthers are in the private sector, the tax payer's are getting this investigation at no charge!!! And I seem to recall Ron stating that the private sector out perform's government... once in awhile. IT IS NO DIFFERANT THAN WHAT THIS WHOLE CAMPAIGN AND IT'S SUPPORTER'S ARE DOING WITH THE VOTE FRAUD ISSUE!!! I wonder which of the two poses a greater threat?

Ron is free to address these types of questions however he chooses, I'm just not use to Ron not sticking up for the people and showing them proper respect. All I am asking of Ron is to recognize the 911 truth movement in its positive light, let it be known that not all 911truther's are of the same opinion, do it in a way which brings ever greater support to this Ron Paul Revolution in a manner that give's every one of 'WE THE PEOPLE' that special feeling of pride, as only the one and only Dr. Ron Paul can!!! Hell Ron, go to http://stj911.org and read some of the scientific analysis and research done by a highly respected Dr. Steven E. Jones. Be prepared to gain an even greater urgency to win this election, and realization of how/why this elevate's concern for personal security.

I have been a strong Ron Paul supporter for 5+ years, I've never seen anyone more deserving or qualified for the position. Thank you Ron, for your willingness to make this personal sacrifice of your freedom, for all of 'WE THE PEOPLE' and this country we all use to love!!!

Based on his debate performances, I would suggest he learn to get his message out in 90 second sound bytes. He needs to convey enough to the audience to get them interested. Get them to go online and watch his videos and read his website.

He is trying to say to much in too little time and ends up blowing it.

I'm no economist but these are my thoughts on this... I haven't actually looked into any of the proposals for a return to a gold standard... I'll do that after I post this... please correct me if I'm wrong on any of this, because I'm sure I am.

It would be impractical to return the U.S. dollar to a gold standard, because you'd need gold reserves to back the dollar with, and we no longer have that much gold in reserve. It'd be a matter of pegging the dollar to an amount of gold that was consistent with the total amount available, but this would be an extremely small amount of gold per dollar since there are *so* many dollars in the world. You'd also increase the market value of gold no matter what you pegged the dollar to.

What you *can* do however, is allow gold to be traded as currency, and allow gold-backed currencies to compete with the U.S. dollar in the market, or create a "new dollar" backed by gold. Eventually, nobody would use old U.S. dollars anymore, because they'd lose nearly all of their value as they were traded over for safer standards over a period of a few years (who knows how long it would take, maybe a decade, maybe less than a year).
