How one man won Warren Co. VA for Ron Paul

THIS is how you win. Everyone here should be doing this.

Anyone who gets Ron Paul's message should realize that there is a responsibility that comes with liberty. If you're not willing to work for liberty you don't deserve to have it. Do people think that Ron Paul is somehow going to get elected and then wave a magic wand and all will be right and good again? If Ron Paul is elected you're going to have to work harder than you have ever worked before. If he's not elected I worry that there aren't enough people to get off their asses and do the work it takes to reclaim and protect our liberty.

Richard obviously did not send hours sitting on his duff making phone calls. GET OUT OF YOUR HOUSE IF YOU WANT RON PAUL TO WIN. Funny how there are people out here showing you exactly what works and yet it's dismissed and ignored in favor of half-hearted phone calls that just put people on a donation list.

Exactly my point. They would have us believe that phoning from home is the only thing we should be doing, or damn close to it. Those IDs too often just don't turn into voters. It does serve a purpose, but it's possible we've relied to heavily on it, I think.

Going door-to-door never really worked either, from what I saw. We need to be on TV.

Just wanted to say thanks to him, i am inspired by his selfless work to make this country better for all. The founding fathers would brand this man a hero.

This guy's story is my story too. During the time of Reagan I believed in the "America as myth." I grew up to become jaded and apathetic hating both parties because they both hated the Constitution and the principles of liberty. Ron Paul didn't convert me, he cut through my apathy because he was the first guy I ever encountered in politics who thought the way I had thought my whole life. It's amazing, really...

In honor of Richard Conrow, I decided to make a chart for Warren County, VA.

The results are quite different than most I have analyzed. This time Ron is the vote flipper!

Note that the precinct with the most votes only has 205 votes; we have evidence from other state that the vote flipping algorithm kicks in at around 275 votes/precinct. Here's the data from the VA State website:

I'm the guy in the article. I think Dr Manion gives me far too much credit for the swing of the county. Many people in the county are very active and passionate Ron Paul supporters. I ran the meetup group in Warren county in 2007/2008 and Warren county also got the highest percentage of Ron Paul votes in the primary in 2008. I think it is just an extension of the liberty movement within the county, once an idea takes hold, no man or government can stop it. There is NOTHING that you can do that is more important than just talking to your neighbors and people in your area. Dr. Paul is the REAL patriot, I'm just doing what I can in my little corner of the world. I'm running the Frederick VA meetup this time around, our results were not quite so stellar :( although Ron Paul did take my precinct and the precinct I aimed to take on election day - alas, I am but one man.

Thanks to everyone for all the accolades, but I really don't deserve the credit in the county.

The one thing I would like to brag about is the truck, it belongs to a friend of mine. We helped him get the R3VOLution wrap on it and he lets us use it for all the Ron Paul promotional stuff in the area. I love it and am very jealous :) it is wicked awesome!

Virginia may be over but we still have a month for MD and almost 2 months for WV. If you are in the area, PLEASE join the meetup group and help us win eastern WV and western MD. http://www.meetup.com/berkeleycowvforronpaul/

In liberty,

I knew it, I knew it, I KNEW IT!

RPF member ftw!

I had seen your name around here, brother.

You deserve every bit of the accolades.

An outstanding job, by all concerned, well done!

Earlier this week, Roanoke City had a municipal election. It didn't occur to me until 11:30 PM the night before that I could have coordinated the placement of Kwiatkowski yard signs at the polling places (her primary isn't until June). This would have put her name in front of voters where we don't have a lot of yard sign coverage and haven't canvassed yet. An opportunity lost -- or was it? As the clock rolled past midnight and I was finishing up my IPA, somehow the thought of "Warren Guy" popped into my head. Maybe it was due to Warren County recently being added to Virginia's 6th Congressional district, who knows. But I kid you not, I thought to myself, "What would Warren Guy do?" Warren Guy wouldn't let the opportunity pass. Warren Guy would just get out there and do it.

I set my alarm and did it myself. I couldn't cover all precincts, but I spent a little over thee hours putting them out in the morning and about two hours collecting them at poll closing. Thirty-five signs at twelve precincts. This wasn't a big deal in the overall context of a campaign, but it wasn't a missed opportunity either.

Then I had to go back and find the thread with Warren Guy in it and give it a bump. Rick, welcome to the 6th District. I'm glad we're neighbors.

And of course, I might not have any idea that guys like Rick Conrow exist except for RPF. If you appreciate this web site as much as I do, you should help keep RPF running.

CJM,

It is MY honor to be YOUR neighbor :) Hit me up on Facebook. We patriots need to stick together!

Thanks for going above and beyond the call. If there is anything I can do for Karen, please let me know. We need her in and Goodlatte OUT.

Ron Paul Forums is my Facebook.

I'll PM you before the weekend ends with some ideas. Thanks!

Aside from the fact that it's NOBP for 2012, I'd vote for that guy over Johnson, any day of the week. Not meaning any offense to Johnson. :)

Uhhh, wrong thread maybe?

Nope. That guy in the OP is Ron Paul. I'm Ron Paul. This movement is Ron Paul. Gary Johnson, some people here like him... but he's not RP. In other words:

NOBP
