I hear anywhere from 5,000 to 15,000. I don't think there really was an 'official' count. I figure it would be best to do a poll to get a good estimate.

My estimate would be about a little over 10,000.

Hey,
Mike Vonasten here, production manager for the march. I deal with crowds on a regular basis and have a pretty good eye for judging how big a crowd is. When the march first hit the West Lawn I would say there was around 11,000. That number went down pretty quickly though, due to the brutal heat. By the time Dr. Paul spoke I would say there were around 3,500 people still on the West Lawn.
