How is this picture possible if the sun is 93 million miles from earth?

That would be explained by reflection.....not the sun washing out thick ass clouds from 93M miles away...lol. Those are not wispy, transparent clouds behind the Pence pics. And if you say they are your just lying to yourself to explain your problem with your explanation of why the bottom half of the same clouds that look the same in density don't block out the top half of the sun. Your explanation in no way explains that. In fact it debunks it all together.

Clouds don't "reflect?"

So now your trying to tell me that the pence pic doesn't have the sun at all in it? It just a reflection of the sun from 93 million miles away? Show me a picture of a cloud that has the reflection of the sun on it while the sun is in the sky elsewhere..

Or anything else. Show me a cloud reflecting a bird or a building or anything at all.

What? The lower line is the horizon? Your just making chit up now. hahaha

Or the alternative hypothesis, which nearly a full consensus of us on here believe, is that you have willed your own eyes to see something that you want to see.

This sort of thing is how I know you are practicing sophistry, and why I feel a lack of compulsion to produce any more respect. I have no respect for a sophist. I would rather it not have come to this place. I was explicitly kind to you from the start with every intention to stay that way. With every sophistic twist you turned I started to bite back.

I am and can be as much a brother as were ever, even if you maintain this ridiculous fiction, but I will not abide a sophist. Anyone who wants peace with me will repent of sophistry, and to the best of their ability not do it. That doesn't mean making some kind of show, that means just not doing it. To stop and turn away from it. Logical fallacies are not an alcoholic cocktail where the idea is to mix the best tasting drink and get one drunk.

Oh geez. In other words you can't find a picture of a bird or anything reflecting off a cloud. Don't make such claims if you can't back them up and then think you can win the argument using fancy words and insults. That's just lazy.

It's a conspiracy. The sun is really just a mile in diameter and inside of the atmosphere. :p

That makes a hell of a lot more sense than there being clouds behind a sun that is supposedly 93 million miles away

+rep thanks for standing up for science and the scientific method

Just to be fair I went back and reread your explanations. Which I would have considered very good if it explained the one part of the pic I was confused about and couldn't already explain away myself. It's the thick dense cloud covering behind the sun. It appears the same thickness as the rest and should be covering the sun.....it's in no way thin, wispy or remotely transparent. It should be blocking the sun out...not allowing the sun light through and washing it out all together. Just like the bottom half of the sun. That is the part that hasn't been explained away. I appreciate your attempt though.

Yeah, that's why a license is required to fly an aircraft. They didn't want people running into the sun while flying.

Sheesh....I'm looking at other stuff now. It's opened up Pandora's box. Though the original pic I posted just had me wondering about the distance of the sun, well, WOW.....I had no idea I stumbled onto flat earth territory. This stuff is fascinating.

Feel free to jump in and help me. I've been surrounded!

Of course not. The bird would have to be moving at the speed of light to reflect off anything.

and timing a picture like that is as impossible as a bird surviving that speed.

Oh come on. You know as well as I do that it's turtles, all the way down. This guy is just exposing our dirty shell back conspiracy. :D

See the turtle of enormous girth...

He needs to cry your pardon as he has forgotten the face of his father...;)
