I'm struggling between two choices at the moment.
Ron Paul writein (which probably won't show up in any percentages from my understanding)
OR
Eeny Meeny Miney Mo through any of the independent candidates.

Barr was an option for me, but after today, he's not.

Now it's Nader, Baldwin, or a write-in.

Not quite sure which sounds better right now.
I was beginning to lean towards Barr... just to get the numbers. But, like you I'm not giving him my vote. It's precious to me, even if it doesn't really matter. I gave Nader the last 2. This time I'm definitely voting for Baldwin. as a Christian I relate to so much of what he has to say, especially his condemnation of the modern American church. The fact that he worked so hard for Ron Paul, that he endorsed him at every opportunity and waited for him to suspend his campaign makes me really respect the man so much.

Baldwin 08!

It changed my vote in the fact that I was not going to vote at all.

Now, as per Ron's request, I will vote.

Just not sure who. It probably won't be Barr. It sure won't be Baldwin because I'll never vote for a pastor or minister or whatever.

I'll have to see what happens.

The Right Choice

Ron Paul writein (which probably won't show up in any percentages from my understanding)

Perhaps this will assist your decision. :)

Chuck Baldwin talked about how great Jerry Falwell was just TODAY at the fabled press conference. Watch the video.

Just wondering where you got the idea that Baldwin supported Jerry Falwell and the "Christian" right stuff. As far as I remember he is critical of those guys. Oh thats right, you are being IGNORANT and assuming Baldwin espouses the views of his party.

You know what that is like? That is like saying Ron Paul is a warmongering deficit spending sleazeball. So if you are comfortable saying that then fine. If not, be quiet please.

would you have voted for George Washington?

Chuck Baldwin is NOT a libertarian. No one who wants to make gays into second class citizens, ban drugs and gambling, shut our country off to trade and immigration, claim that America was founded as a "Christian nation," say they "respect" Jerry Falwell, claim that the Constitution is divinely inspired, and try to impose Christian doctrine on the rest of society through law can legitimately claim to be libertarian. As such, Chuck Baldwin simply does not endorse Ron Paul's philosophy of libertarianism, and IMO he is unworthy of our support.

...

using these criteria, you wouldn't have voted for George Washington back in the day. yes, contrary to popular belief, the founding fathers were Christians, not Deists. and they would have been "guilty" of the same things you accuse Baldwin of. I'm glad Baldwin is not a Libertarian -- he's got my vote. maybe you'd prefer we still were in the UK.

re: How, if at all, has your vote changed today?

Before today, I was planning to vote for Barr. Yes, his conversion to libertarianism was only a recent thing, but many libertarians were once either liberals or conservatives, so I didn't hold that against him. I realized that Chuck Baldwin had a better record as a constitutionalist, but he wasn't making it onto the ballot in as many states as Barr, so I thought Barr was the better option.

Today, however, Bob Barr did something incredibly stupid, and has likely torpedoed both his candidacy and the LP in the process. Apparently, he thought he was going to a costume party; why else would he show up looking like such a jackass? :D

Now I'm glad that I never did get around to donating to Barr/Root. I'd be kicking myself if I had.

Was Barr.
now...?

Baldwin is not on the NH ballot as of this moment.
But do to some quirk... NH has 2 LP members running for Prez.
George Phillies is also on the ballot... although it would really pain me to vote for him.

Write in or Nader (unless Baldwin shows on the ballot)

grrrrrrr!!!

Elections suck! Why can't the good candidates like RP get anywhere? Life ain't fair, dangit! :(

I was voting for Barr, but after all his antics I can no longer support him. His attacks completely cross the line.

I wish I could vote for Paul, but a write-in wouldn't be counted here, so it would be a pointless vote. I can't vote for an American theocracy, so I'm forced to reluctantly cast a vote for Nader. It's sad that I have to go from voting for someone with ideas I could believe in to the lesser of 5 evils, but Barr has certified himself an egomaniacal asshole and doesn't deserve my vote.
