I don't admire your dad being a millionaire or you having an acting agent, but I am happy I'm not $50K in debt (not sure why, even if I was, what would that stop me from doing?)!

You're just as fucked as everyone else in this thread. Even if they aren't, themselves in this situation. I guess all I can say is you are not alone.

Also the "Creditors" are lobbying for inflation adjusted principle/interest. I'd be more worried about that...b/c then, even if your falacy gold plan comes true, the debt you owe will have increased as well.

If wages are not proportionally adjusted as well and this does occur, look out...things will get ugly.

I don't have any creditors. The only debt I have is the "National Debt," which doesn't follow me around if I move away. You should really speak for yourself ;)

I have a "credit card" in that I have a debit card because I don't want the hassle of cashing my paychecks :p I also get paid via PayPal a lot.

I don't have a traditional credit card, car loan, or home loan.

It's not luck :p It's a lifestyle choice, or a series of them.
 
My only debt is my mortgage- the remanining on it is less than the OP's credit card debt- and that will be gone in less than three more years. I use a credit card but pay it off every month. Live below- not beyond- your means.
