I think how is what worthy of a discussion!
There is nothing can justify killing childern under any circumstances whether they are Palestinian or Israeli childern, or from wherever they are. Justification is so criminal in my opinion.
This topic is intended for a discussion around how the Palestinian people should fight back? What is the most effective way in your opinion and why? What are the best options in your opinion?

I have been trying to figure this out for years, and i can't. If people give money for them to buy supplies you can be arrested bacause you will be labeled a terrorist. Just this week a chain of 11 Lebanies restaurants because they linked him to terrorism. Before they tried to get him on tax evasion. I am sure he was just sending money back to his familly in Lebanon. I loved this restaurant it was the best in the area for middle eastern.

I even thought about finding a needy family in Palestine or Lebanon and sending them money but I am afraid I could be arrested. I do not trust charities I think it will all end up in the wrong places.

I am just hoping other Arab countries will be pushed enough to take on Israel and fuck them up.

Yep. Two things that Arab countries have done such a fantastic job of in the past. Taking care of Palestinians (see how many palestinians have been killed by Jordan), and beating the Israeli army.

This is probably the only thing that you have ever said that I agree with you on. Arab regimes (fully funded and supported by the US, every single one of them) will not help because it is in their self interest not to . Arab people on the other hand would but can't because of said dictators' heavy hand approach to government. Is it any wonder why OBL can recruit people so easily by railing against Arab dictators?

The Palestinians and the Lebanese will have to continue to fight with whatever they've got. There's no way around it.

And Benny, this Finkelstein clip landed in my inbox today and you're the first person with whom I thought to share it. It explains the Hizbullah-Israeli conflict in 2006 in such clear logic that if you don't get it from watching it I doubt you ever will.

And to the rest of you who would like to help the Palestinian cause:

I would suggest they try the path of Gandhi and MLK. Violence only seems to get them labeled as terrorists blown up.

I have to agree here!
Labeling the Palestinian people as terrorists has been helping Israel for so long to keep the lands and escape from engaging in any serious negotiations regarding the refugees and Jerusalem and the two state solution. See how many times the Israeli side stopped negotiations due to the lack of wisdom from Hamas side. Actually-in my opinion-Hamas is doing alot of favors to the Israeli governments. And sometimes I feel its leaders are working for the good of Israel by giving it the right to delay negotiations, the right to gain the world support and the right to label the Palestinian people as terrorist.

I used to work with a Palestinian friend and one day I was talking about him while my father in law was listening and the one thing he said: Is he a terrorist? Not really sure if he was serious or joking. But I am bringing this to show the people how Israel has succeed in hurting the reputation of the Palestinian people around the world over the time due to the lack of wisdom from alot of the Palestinian leaders.
The Palestinian leaders should be busy how to feed and educate their people, how to rebuild the Palestinian reputation, how to engage in negotiations and not to give the opportunity for the Israeli leaders to escape from their responsibilities.

Because at the end who suffers?
How many leaders in Palestine?
5 10 1000 10 thousands
This minority if it takes the wrong decisions, millions of Palestinians as a result will suffer.

Israeli leaders' top priority is how to provide security to its people while on the other hand the security of the Palestinian people fall at the bottom of Hamas' agenda and it might not even exist at all.

I say it is time for Hamas to announce itself as a peaceful resistance group!
Believe me the gains will be unlimited and they are priceless only if the people can reflect and understand. And at the top of it the bloodshed will stop!
This is the only way to expose the Israeli leaders' true intentions to the world, and it is the only way to show if they are truly serious about engaging into negotiations about the top issues or not. No more excuses will exist!

There is another thing I believe it is very important to include.
Many people do not understand what the word Hamas means in Arabic.
Hamas means enthusiasm, passion or excitement.
I really suggest that Hamas should change its name to Wisdom.
Who ever owns wisdom is always so careful about his Hamas toward any subject.
Wisdom reflects rationality, patience and maturity while the word Hamas reflects almost the opposite of all these three elements.
Therefore I pray for wisdom!

Thanks Paulestinian for your links. All I could think of doing today was to wear my Palestinian scarf.
I can't believe there is so much inaction globally on this issue whilst this great homicidal bully has its way with Gaza.
My letters to our government urging them to throw out Israeli diplomats is a start i guess.

Raiha my heart with you and with all Palestinians! But believe me, hasty proved to bring nothing but failure.

I too feel bad for the palestinian people. Their own elected government uses them as human shields and send their children off as suicide bombers.

but you have no shame for what Israel does to them? Using Palestinian children as human shields, mass bombing of civilians and so on.

I myself am a father of four and do not want to see children die on either side.

But I find it strange that one side is screaming "unfair" that its civilians are being shot at while its shooting at other civilians.

I am glad that you finally say something which is closer to be fair than just provoking people for the sake of provoking. And I pray that you believe inside you, that the Palestinian people have rights.

Whoever have morals will prevail! But unfortunately both sides (Israel & Hamas) do not have that thing. Both preach a justification of killing innocent people under many titles.

If both Palestinians and Israeli supporters will keep debating who started first? the story will never end and the debates will be a waste of a precious time while shedding blood and suffering from both sides are continued.
I say the solution will depend on who will run toward morality first. Which side will announce NO MORE JUSTIFICATION FOR KILLING CIVILIANS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

Whoever reach the world of morality first, for sure will be the true victorious.
But what is happening now is exactly the opposite, both sides are in the race to determine who would be the first to escape from the moral responsibility. But the truth is; whether you reach first or second in this race, you will remain a loser. And due to my heritage, I still have a hope that Hamas will -one day- be the first to wakeup and realize the right path to be a true victorious.

I think it will be close to impossible for one side to stop fighting while the other side continues. Both sides feel they are right. It will only stop when new leaders emerge that want peace before anything else, and are both ready to sacrifice for it. Two state solution, living side by side in peace is the only way. The hard part is what the borders of these countries will be.
