IT IS SOOOOOOOOOO FRUSTRATING!!!!! EVERY SINGLE PERSON I HAVE TALKED POLITICS WITH HAVE NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT RON PAUL..... IN FACT THEY ALL LIKE HIM ALOT..... BUT AS YOU ALL KNOW, THEY WILL NOT BE VOTING FOR HIM BECAUSE "HE HAS NO SHOT OF WINNING"....... SOMEONE IS DOING A HORRIBLE JOB OF SHOWING THAT RON PAUL CAN FKN WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I REALLY THINK OUR ONLY PROBLEM IS GETTING PEOPLE TO BELIEVE HE CAN WIN!!! BUT HOW DO WE DO THAT BATTLING THE MEDIA WHO IS TELLING THE ENTIRE WORLD THAT RON HAS NO SHOT AT WINNING? OUR NUMBERS WOULD CHANGE DRAMITICALLY IF WE COULD SOMEHOW GET PEOPLE TO SEE HE CAN WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fortunately our county is a republic, not a democracy, which provides some level of insulation against naive voters perpetuating the downfall of what our country was founded to protect.

The battle for hearts and minds is a long term battle. At this point in the game he likely will not win. But that doesn't mean we give up on the message. Ron Paul is all about the message. And when this campaign is over the movement will still be here.
People distrust politics in general in this country and when you focus the message on "We need to get this guy in office!" you can turn off a lot of people right off the bat. You are better off with a lot of people by convincing them that the core issues they care about are actually better served by a more liberty/non-violent oriented worldview. Many don't realize that most of the ills of the world are related to big government and the moral hazards it creates.
For me anyway the movement is more about changing public opinion than getting people in office. If we get more liberty oriented people in office it will be due to a change in public opinion that has been created rather than clever campaigning.
We do have some work ahead of us though after the Paul campaign. We will need come up with some strategies and ideas that unite and strengthen the movement beyond what the cult of personality of Ron is doing for us at the moment.

Let's see. People rely on the media way too much to write the narrative... Things aren't bad enough yet for many to get behind real change, and apathy/cynicism compounds that... Obama duped quite a few with his "hope and change" rhetoric and left a sour taste... Those on the right believe that our foreign policy actually does good. Those on the left believe that government intervention is actually good....
Really, the only thing you can get most people to agree on is that the path we're going down is unsustainable, to live comfortably and intervene around the world at the cost of future generations that have to pay for it. However, getting people to actually do something about it is a completely different story (aside from us of course).
That is not to imply hopelessness however, as we're making gains that they'll never be able to take back... But all we can do is keep plugging along and keep doing what we're doing... Not everyone is going to want to listen, but slowly but surely, we're changing minds... Let's hope that it's enough before it's too late, but this has always been an uphill battle and always will be... No one strategy is going to change that, unfortunately.

Unfortunately, the MSM did a really good job of creating that perception. You cannot watch a clip or read an article by the MSM that does not include the sentence, "cannot win, won't win, has no chance of winning, a snowball has a better chance in hell of winning, et. al" And this has been from day one. And the Fox news hounds heard it over and over and over until it became the truth. We are dealing with pure evil here. They know what they are doing.

i strongly disagree i think the best way to change peoples minds is to type in all lowercase also you shouldnt ever use any punctuation at all its just distracting and takes away from the very important points you are trying to make you should also never use paragraphs either paragraphs are an evil nwo plot to shorten peoples attention spans and make us all stupid

Keep tabs of every person that says, "I like him, but he can't win." When you speak to the nth person that says that, tell them about the n-1 people that have already told you that and what it would be like if they all supported him.
