How are delegates selected? Or perhaps I should ask where.

I know by lottery and they have to be present to win, but presumably each county gets so many delegate tickets. How many does each county get?

If each county gets the same number of slots, it makes sense to track down those former meetups in podunk where the county is lightly populated and we had like 4 supporters for the best chance of winning the most slots.

If it's by population, the most slots go to those heavily populated counties. Still, every county has to get some slots. The population of Miami is almost 6 million. The population of the state is only 17 million. Does Miami get ~1/3 of the slots? with that much population, competition might be stiff, while in the other 62 counties it might be very light. If a county only gets 1 or 2 slots, Miami starts looking better... though the competition for those 1 or 2 slots may be non-existent so an instant win for showing up.

What counties get how many tickets makes a huge difference! Lets be smart about this.

Can someone find out how many slots each county gets?

thanks,

Delegate spots are apportioned among the counties by the number of registered Republicans they have. Thus if the robopolling picks Republicans at random (without repetition) from the state list, it will be apportioning the calls among counties in the same way delegates are.

Still need a count of slots per county. Compare that with how much support we have per county and we have a list of priority counties to contact former Meetups in.

A little math here, with time short could bend the results in our favor.

What you need is registered Republican population by county, which is what the number of delegates is based on, and which is probably much easier to find.
