House.gov uptime problems (web site getting slammed)

Anyone else having trouble getting to http://www.house.gov ? It's loading slowly for me. I think it is getting slammed as everyone tries to figure out how read the draft bill or find contact info for their reps. When was the last time this happened!

Since the Internet gives people easier access to contact their Representative, this is bound to happen. Especially on contentious issues under consideration.

Back in the day, there was no internet to allow speedy communications so our reps acted pretty much without the people's input. Now its easy for them to get a feel for their consistuents feelings. It's clear they're totally ignoring them. Now it's getting very blatant for all to see. That's actually a good thing. I'm hopeful more of the general public will get pissed at this and be more proactive in politics.
