Please take advantage of this offer now. This is the first forum the offer was shared at because I want to reward Ron Paul supporters with low ticket prices. And remember, don't steal, the government hates competition :)

Have a detailed question or something I cannot help you with? Ask your question on the fedbook event page.

Out of stock already, lol.

I'm planning on attending my first PorcFest this year. I'll be visiting by myself. Got any tips?

Yes. Last year around 1,500 people attended. This year, I heard only 1,750 tickets will be sold. The first batch of 250 regular tickets are sold out. The next batch of 250 is for sale now. It is only $65, please buy tickets for yourself and any adults you are bringing with you ASAP. People under age 18 are free.

Why pay full price when you can get tickets for only $65? Get you tickets now. http://porcfest.com/tickets/

I have advice. If you are planning on staying at Roger's Campground and hotel, bring ear plugs and baby wipes. Even though there are slow volume hours at night, sometimes people get drunk and still make noise. Also, you might get tired and want to take a nap during the day. Ear plugs help. The number of people attending the event, especially on Friday and Saturday is more than the old campground is designed for, especially the water systems. The last two years in a row, there have been times were certain bathrooms have been closed down. Spending a dollar on wipes and another dollar on ear plugs just makes sense. You might want to spend another dollar on sun screen, and maybe a few other items. Dollar Tree is great with no taxes either.

If you are driving up I-93 to get to the campground, stop at the massive rest area liquor store and stock up on liquor and wine. Don't worry, there is another liquor store in town, right next to the grocery store.

It rains in NH so make sure your tent fly is water proof. Buy a spray can at Wal-mart if you need to do so.

Do you have any specific questions?

I desperately want to go with my wife one of these years. I also do caricatures on the side since high school and would love to sell some caricatures for bitcoin or silver down in Agora Valley. Someday...

Legalize marijuana already, NH. And stop being in New England too. :p

I get one week off for vacation every year. Porcfest is something I'd like to attend but there are just better places to visit. Hopefully some day I will be there.

New England is the region of the country where marijuana legalization polls best. It is, along with the Pacific Northwest, where usage is highest. New England was Ron Paul's 2nd best region in 2012. His best region was Northern New England ;)

NH was the first state where a Republican led senate voted for an effective medical marijuana law.
NH was the first state where a state legislative body voted to legalize marijuana.
NH is the only state where a legal marijuana patient smoked marijuana in a state house.

Edit: I should add that we don't have statewide referendums in New Hampshire so it isn't up to the people, it's up to the legislature and the governor. Our current governor campaigned in support of limited decriminalization. A bill came out this year for limited decriminalization. She has already spoken out against the bill, going back on her campaign statement :(

Sigh. THere are 2 annual events that I swear I am going to attend someday, and this is one of them. CPAC is the other. I can't go this year, literally no money, but some day....

Keith thanks so much for your dedication in promoting this event. If it wasn't for people like you, it wouldn't last like it has.

The FSP never promoted the $45 PorcFest 2015 ticket special on the FSP Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/FreeStateProject.org ). That special sold out. Now a $65 ticket special is going on for the next 250 tickets. Please get your tickets now. This special has not yet been advertised on the FSP Facebook page either. I'm trying to make sure Ron Paul fans get the best possible deal. This deal will sell out, maybe as soon as this week. When that happens, the special price will rise to $75. Don't let that be you. Get your tickets today.

Remember, tickets are free for those under 18 years of age.

I'm seriously considering this. Any other RPF folks going?

Someone with Candidates for Liberty ( http://www.candidates4liberty.com/ ) attended Liberty Forum. That same person posts here. Here is the Facebook post about LF.

I just spent the day in New Hampshire at Liberty Forum thrown by the awesome liberty lovers at the Free State Project. Great speakers from Shem Kellogg for New Hampshire to David Boaz from The Cato Institute to Nick Gillespie from Reason Magazine. If you're stuck in a state surrounded by people who don't feel the same way about liberty that you do, look into joining the Free State Project at the link below. Join them at PorcFest this year in June and you will be shocked at how you can passionately work towards liberty in government and life with these like-minded people!

I don't know if the person will be at PorcFest or not.

Just purchased a $65 ticket with Bitcoin :)

Thanks for the tips! I'm an active duty Marine, so I'm quite accustomed to loud, obnoxious drunks. As of right now, I'll likely stay at the Cabot Inn. I'd like to get in contact with some Free Staters and just get a better idea of what to expect, how to move around, and not feel like I'm all by my lonesome. All my friends, family, and fellow marines know how excited I am to go to Porcfest and move to the Free State, but none of them seem very interested themselves.

Specific questions:
Should I stay all week, or just a few days? I have plenty of leave days, I'm just frugal with my money.
Should I rent a car?
How will I eat?

Things of that nature. Rarely have I taken a true personal trip for myself, so I just want to fill in some of the blanks.

Specific questions:
Should I stay all week, or just a few days? I have plenty of leave days, I'm just frugal with my money.
I've done it both ways. When I didn't live in NH, I wanted the most bang for my buck. The largest expense for many people is the expense of flying/renting a car or driving to the event. Things really start to ramp up on Thursday, so I'd do Thursday - Sunday for sure. You could come early, do some hiking, check out some near-by towns, look at tourist sites and so on. The ticket price is the same if you stay 8 days or 2 and you already paid for it. It is easier to get to know folks at the event when less stuff is going on.

Should I rent a car?
If it is your first time in NH and you are flying into the Boston or Manchester airport, I recommend renting a car. Often times, you get a daily discount if you rent a car for a week vs. 2-3 days. This way you will be able to get to the event without relying on other folks, folks that might be hard to hook up with and are going to charge you anyway. There is no bus to the isolated town of Lancaster.

How will I eat?
There is a government approved restaurant on site. It servers breakfast. There is also a very small store that has food, including refrigerated food. There is a grocery store and are several restaurants in town. There will be 10-20 vendors selling some type of food. Last year there were a few food trucks, and a bunch of agorist venders in Agora Valley. I know you said motel but the sites have spots for campfires. So you go use someone's spot or the main fire pit to make camp food like hotdogs, smores, and corn.

The image advertising the $65 ticket sale price was just released. In fact, I might be posting it here before it is posted to any other public site ;) Once the 250 tickets are sold at this price, the early bird ticket price goes up to $75. Buy your tickets today to lock in the best price. This price allows you to enter Roger's Campground if you are not already sleeping there and attend almost every event for the full 8 days of PorcFest.

You do not have to buy a ticket for your kids. Children under 18 years old are free.

Every time I see "PorcFest" I think "PorkFest" and I wonder "Are people that into BBQ and bacon?" :p
