Honest Question: Just who IS the ESTABLISHMENT?

I was listening to Rush this evening but I think it was recorded on Wed? It was before the debate.

Anyways he was going on and on trying his darndest to paint Santorum and Gingrich as "not establishment".
And people BUY it!

So I listen to AM radio most if the time when I'm driving to work, and I hear a lot of commercials. What's up with these WE WANT OUR PARTY BACK ads I'm hearing against the Establishment? I'm thinking they're affiliated with Grinch, but if Grinch isn't Establishment, who is?

I think part of the organized chaos is for the RNC to make people think Grinch and Santorum aren't Establishment, totally leaving out Ron, the only TRUE anti-Establishment candidate. I think the strategy goes along with the reason why Grinch and Santorum are vowing to stay in until the end.

What do you guys think?

Yeah, those ads are put out by Gingrich's Super PAC. Fortunately, however, they don't say who they're endorsing (unless you go to the website), so they may convert some people to Paul. ;)

Because we are winning. Only the media liars are saying that we are losing.

I agree that we are. I only wish the campaign would have pushed the story more to create greater viability for Paul going into Super Tuesday. It seemed like with those two appearances on Maddow that Wead was starting to push the story that we are either in the lead or a very close 2nd, but they haven't seem to run with that story since then at all.

Viability is a huge problem we face, and while we can do well picking up unbound delegates and having our folks in the convention prepared to vote for Paul if a second ballot comes around, we still will need to win a good number of first ballot bound delegates in order to make something happen in Tampa. The only way that I see us being able to do that is to erase the notion that Paul is not a viable candidate by demonstrating to voters that he is indeed in the lead or very close to it. Otherwise, soft support and last minute voters won't go our way in the numbers we need.

The establishment are simply the upperclass. The guys in business, politics, banking, military, and journalism who all happen to live in the same neighborhoods, go to the same Ivy League schools, and go to the same country clubs.

We in reality live in a plutocracy. Whether or not the welfare state is sheer well-meaning ineptitude at best or a program to literally destroy the backbone of middle and working class America is anyone's guess. I prefer the former with only a privileged few aware of the latter. After all, hasn't the welfare state failed every pre-1960s assumption that it would end poverty and actually help poor people? You'd have to be an imbecile not to realize that at this point.

Okay. I heard the ad again today. Many times. Here's the website. Although the ad says it has no connections to any candidate, it sure looks like the work of Gingrich to me...
