Nixon and Bush Sr? And Carter? Interesting, I didn't know that...I guess they really mean it when they say the incumbent has the advantage, in light of that history. I wasn't really interested in politics when I was younger, and don't particularly like them now, it's just that I don't like what seems to be happening to the country that I loved so much, but took for granted. For the most part anyway. I have recently become aware that my ideas of what that "country" really was, were, a mirage and not really what I thought. I grew up appreciating Walden Pond, The Teachings of Don Juan, Atlas Shrugged, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and such. But I passed up on the Federalist Papers etc. until recently. My exposure to the libertarian ideology and appreciation only began a few years ago. I am a junior scholar and see much more honesty and virtue which I find appealing here than I see in the conventional arenas. So please, bear with me, and overlook this old fools rants. Like you, I also seek truth and justice.
I guess that's possible. There have only been 3 one term Presidents since WWII. Two of the three were Republicans.
